Cottage Style Mudroom Part II, Dec. 15th

Hi y'all,

The Sims 3 set, Cottage Style Mudroom Part II, is scheduled for publication on December 15, 2017. The set includes 7 new meshes, a large garden sink (cloned from a pedestal sink), a utility table, soap and towels, a ladder towel rack, sink cleanser, soap rain barrel, and pig wall art.

I started this set in April 2017 and I just finished it today, lol. Real life kept me very busy this past summer and fall. I agreed to created custom, handcrafted wedding invitations and programs for a relative's wedding. They turned out great, but were alot of work.

I hope you enjoy the set! I will also upload an updated collection folder for the set at Media Fire.

My First Post On TSR

Hello Everyone,

Let me start by first introducing my self.

My name is Cici Skebe Dep Dep but you can call me Lady Zamar. This is my first time of being here.

but it definitely wont be my last. Lastly am a lover of South African Music

Computer Says No!

I'm sure I'm not the first, nor will I be the last...

I just had to sell my new laptop to my dad, who was coincidentally on the lookout for a new one. Basically, Windows 10 sucks. It sucks HARD. Add to that the fact that Lenovo don't make Windows 7 drivers for this particular model and what we have is a laptop that will not run TS3. 

Every compantibility mode, every workaround out there... I tried them all. Nothing worked. I've been trying to get this damn thing to run for the past wee, but to no avail! I'm not gonna lie, there were tears. I just don't have that kind of money to be throwing around, y'know? If I buy a new laptop/phone/TV, it's because I need something a little better, not just because something new has been released and I have to have it.

The live chat on the Argos site was as useful as a chocolate teapot. "Take it to your local store," they said. This is code for "Waste your day off in our store, fighting for a refund we will never give you" according to most Argos customers on the internet who have tried to return laptops. It's not like I didn't read the spec or go through their entire Q&A section on every colour variation page for this model. In fact, the first question on there was regarding Sims and Minecraft, to which a member of the Argos team replied, "Yes, this will run those games". Lyings sacks of sh...

Anyway, as I said, daddio to the rescue. He was looking at spending roughly that amount on a new laptop and this one will be spectacular in terms of his needs - just not so much for mine. I'm back on the horrid HP laptop and back in the loving arms of Windows 7, reinstalling TS3 as we speak (which I had been planning to do anyway).

So what have we learned from this?

• Never trust an Argos employee's technical knowledge
• Always check the manufacturer's site for driver's if you're planning on installing a different OS
• Never trust an Argos employee's technical knowledge

New Beginnings!

Barely got my new blog up and running and I went out and got me a new laptop.

You know what that means, folks... it means a massive reinstallation of TS3 headache. Urgh.

I blame my mother. She was the one who reminded me ho much I hated my HP laptop. It needed to be done though. That machine was AWFUL!

Anyway, my saves are all backed up and who knows - a clean install could be good. Right?

After the last update that the game has had, for the new EP of Dogs and Cats, some of my objects presented a small problem of transparencies, they are already solved, then I leave a list with their links in case someone wants to return to download them

Weird shadows after Pets patch

Hello!

Since Pets ep arrived many issues started to happen with cc. Seatings and beds disappearing were the first. Now, all of these files have been fixed . But still, there's a problem which is both weird and random.

Some machines are seeing a weird shadow on several objects, mostly when they are on the wall. We fixed all of our TSR files and they must have their shadows fixed at this point. But as we said it is random... some machines shows still the weird shadows and others don't. So far, all tests were made on game's ultra but seems this changes from machine to machine. Asked some friends to test and they see no problem on fixed files. However, one of our tests machine is seeing the ugly shadows. But this same machine has a sims4 incompatible graphics card so, maybe this is the reason.

Still under tests, we will be updating this blog if any other new discover regarding the weird shadow from pets patch occurs.

New here, used to play

Hey everyone, I'm new here. I used to play Sims wayyyyyy back in the day with Sims 1 and 2. Life got too busy for me after I started my own moving company, Madison Movers, and started a family. Now that my lifes settled down a bit I have time to rediscover The Sims, which I LOVED to play back in the day. Looks like its come a long way from then. Glad to be here, looks like a fun community!

I'm Back Simmers!!!

Well, well, well, look who's back... It's ME. He he he. So a lot has happened since 2013, that's right, 2013. I had 2 more children (girls this time), so that brings my total up to 4 children. I have gotten older and maybe just a little wiser, the jury is still out on that one. I finished my degree but didn't end up doing a psychology degree like I wanted. However, I am looking into becoming a marriage celebrant. That way, I can work my own hours and own my own business.

There have been a lot of ups and downs. I have depression. I wouldn't say that I suffer with it but more like I, have learned to live with it. There are good days, weeks and even months and the same goes for opposite. What gets me through you may ask? Well, I know that my downs wont last forever and that there will be the day where I will be okay, plus I have my family and loving partner that helps me get through the tough times. Plus, cos I am nerd, I have my gaming which really helps to mellow me out. 

So, to get to the short and curly of it, I am okay, I am alive and I an back.

Working on Updating sets

Hi all, 

Just wanted to let you all know i am fixing ALL my sets since pets, as there are weird shadows on my meshes eversince, and a lot of items seem to be (semi) transparent since the last patch/ EP. 

The 20 most recent sets i have already updated, so they should work as they are supposed to. Anything older than the Fake Garage Doors still need to be replaced. 

As soon as i make some more updates, i will let you know..

A Blog About a Blog

I rarely post in this blog, mainly because I have nothing relevant to say but lately I decided I was gonna make a proper blog for my Sims stuff. The idea started buzzing around my head shortly after the Steam sale wherein I purchased University Life, Seasons and some stuff packs. I actually played for a while (I tend to take lengthy breaks in favour of building and creating) and had the idea to maybe chronicle the life of my Sim.

Since I do keep taking these lengthy breaks, I decided that I'd double it up as a place to unleash some of my creations, most of which you will find here on TSR. The blog is still very much in it's early stages, nothing past an into post at the moment, but you can find it here: B2 Sims

Mods File NOT WORKING

I have downloaded the Mods file that comes with everything from ModtheSims. I have placed it in the place that it has told me to, and everything. But my mods are not going onto my game. I do not know if there is a conflict between something, but I also have every single pack ect on my computer. So I don't understand why this is not working. The pregnancy mod that I had downloaded works, but the hair I downloaded does not. I am going to be downloading another hair mod, not the same one, but another one, to test out what the problem could be. It would be nice if someone had a clue what could be going on, so that I can get this over with as soon as possible.

A FA again!

Thank you tsr for making me a FA again. Last time it was for sims 2 when I recoloured kids clothes and furnishing. This time for my houses!. I am glad I am still here around tsr neigbourhood . Hi, im a new memeber to TSR and i really am enjoying it! I'm literally in love with the stylish outfits on here so much that i want to try them on myself. Sims resource is now one of my favourite things to do in my spare time now! The clothes on here are outstanding!!
