Night & Day
I've been dying to get my hands on the gorgeous ladies' suit mesh from Glamour Life Stuff for a long time and, now that I've finally installed this pack, I've at long last been able to have a go at re-colouring it. I wanted to make a slightly more modest version with less cleavage on display. I've made five linen suits in subtle pastel colours worn with a white lace camisole for everyday use and five silk suits in vibrant colours worn with a black lace camisole and black choker suitable for a night on the town. The changes are not major as I really liked the original suits to begin with. I didn't want to interfere with the original shoes which I like very much and I haven't changed the actual suits much beyond altering the colours and adding damask patterning to some of the lapels and trim. All suits are available for adult and young adult females. You will need to have the Glamour Life Stuff Pack installed for them to show up in your game. The pastel suits are categorised under everyday wear and the dark suits are categorised under formal wear.
Pyjama Party Part 2
Another set with college girls in mind: 2 styles of comfy pyjamas; 3 variations in each style; all available with and without cosy knitted socks. This set uses a standard Maxis mesh and is base game compatible. All items are available for adult and young adult females.
Shape Up In Style Part 3
And the college girls theme continues...This time another set of athletic outfits so the girls can look stylish during those unavoidable trips to the gym. Each outfit comprises comfy ribbed cotton muscle top and leggings, generously trimmed with contrast stretch lace, worn with co-ordinating training shoes. The outfit comes in 11 colours to suit a range of tastes. For adults and young adults. Standard Maxis mesh. Base game compatible.
Pyjama Party
This is a set of pyjamas designed specifically for young women i.e. teens and university students. The pyjamas come in two styles, with four colour combinations in each. This set uses standard Maxis meshes and is base game compatible. All items are available for adult, young adult and teen females.
College Girls Part 2
Part 2 of my College Girls collection comprises 10 Mix & Match separates for maximum versatility: 4 tops, 5 skirts and a pair of jeans. I like to use Maxis meshes whenever possible (my poor overloaded hard drive has no space for new meshes!) and that's what I've done here. The cropped cardi and denim jacket require my favourite Nightlife mesh and the long skirt needs a beautiful mesh from Open For Business which I was dying to get my hands on long before I had that expansion installed (along with the tunic and wide trousers mesh which I also love). The other 7 items use standard Maxis meshes and are base game compatible. All items are available for adults and young adults.
College Girls Part 1
The new academic year is about to begin and your Sims need some snazzy new outfits for going off to university...University is probably my favourite expansion pack so far and I like to dress my young adults differently from my adult Sims, so I wanted to create a set which I felt suited college students more so than adults (although these outfits are also available for adults). The set comprises five very different ensembles in shades of brown, white and pink with a bit of an Autumn theme thrown in.
All the outfits use Maxis meshes, although I had to add bumpmaps to three of them (Thanks again, Morague!) The gorgeous tunic mesh requires Open For Business; the mini skirt mesh requires University as that's the version of the mesh I used to create it; the other three meshes came with the original Sims 2 game.
Shape Up In Style Part 2
The second part of my Shape Up In Style set comprises two further styles of fitness wear, this time with a floral theme. Each outfit consists of muscle top, lycra shorts and coordinating training shoes and there are eight feminine colour combinations. So there are eight outfits in total, each available for adult and young adult females. All outfits use a standard Maxis mesh and are base game compatible.
Shape Up In Style
This is my first attempt at creating sportswear and I based the outfits on the kind of thing I wear myself when I workout. Each outfit comprises a muscle top, cycling shorts, training shoes and matching baseball cap. There are four stylish colour combinations to choose from and each outfit can be worn by elder, adult, young adult and teen females. The baseball caps caused me some problems. I don't actually play the game much, so it wasn't until I went to take preview shots that I discovered to my dismay that when a Sim changes from everyday clothes to sportswear any hat he/she is wearing disappears and is replaced by an alternate hairstyle! I have been told that this is only a problem if you don't have Seasons installed, which I don't. Fortunately, our newest Featured Artist, BeOSBoxBoy, came to my rescue and told me how to make hats show up with all kinds of outfits - so a big thank you to him!
Coffee House Uniforms
Recently, I was asked if I would create a set of uniforms to complement a coffee house lot made by one of our Select Artists here at TSR, Silver Dagger Studios a.k.a. Daggs. Here's what I came up with:Uniforms are available for elder, adult, young adult and teen males and females. The matching baseball cap is available for black, red, brown and blonde hair and must be downloaded separately. The set uses only Maxis meshes and all items are base game compatible i.e. you don't need to download any extra meshes or have any expansion packs installed.
Be sure to download Daggs' lot. We're planning to release both sets on Friday 31st August.
Any resemblance to a well-known Canadian coffee outlet is purely coincidental!
Flower Power
My second set of uniforms for Open For Business is a set designed for florists / garden centres. The uniforms are again available for elder, adult, young adult and teen males and females. The uniform comprises a natural hessian apron (with daisy appliqué on female aprons) worn over a striped short-sleeved shirt and classic stone Chinos. It was nice to have an opportunity to make use of some of the very cute Maxis hats. This time I used different hats for males and females (both are trimmed with fabric which matches the shirt of the uniform): for the ladies I chose an elegant straw sun hat trimmed with ribbon tied in a bow at the back; for the guys I went for a simple hessian sun hat. As before, the hats replace the Sim's existing hairstyle. For the ladies, the hair under the hat is worn in a short ponytail. The aprons require Open For Business (unless you simply use them to replace NPC skins). Both hats are base game compatible.
