Sim Beans Coffee House Uniforms
I finally installed Open For Business a few weeks ago. I've been having a lot of fun playing at shops but found that I was disappointed with the choice of uniforms for my staff and decided to have a go at making some alternatives. Here is my first offering: a set of coffee house uniforms for elders, adults, young adults and teens, with matching baseball caps. This is just a very simple recolour of the standard Maxis apron and baseball cap. You will need to have OFB installed in order that the aprons show up amongst the everyday clothing choices. If you don't have OFB, the apron mesh came with the base game (I think) for use by NPCs, so you could probably use my aprons as replacement NPC skins (the NPC Replacer utility makes this very simple). The baseball cap is base game compatible. It shows up under hairstyles and replaces the Sim's current hairstyle. For the girls, the hairstyle changes to a baseball cap worn over a short ponytail. Unfortunately, it isn't possible for your Sim to wear the cap over his or her current hairstyle. Perhaps in Sims 3...
Florentine Suite
This is my second set of recolours of Maxis' art nouveau style Baroccoco loveseat and sofa and Serenity Sitter chair from the original Sims 2 game. This time, I've recoloured the frame to make it much lighter than the Maxis options. I've recoloured the upholstery in a traditional Florentine pattern in two subtle colours: duck egg blue and beige, which I think complement the light wood frame.Frame and upholstery recolours must be downloaded separately.
Art Nouveau Suite
This is a set of recolours of Maxis' art nouveau style Baroccoco loveseat and sofa and Serenity Sitter chair from the original Sims 2 game. I've always liked the basic design of these items but wasn't keen on the choice of upholstery and frames. I've recoloured the frame to make it much darker than the Maxis options, which I feel works much better with the style of furniture. I've recoloured the upholstery in a traditional scroll pattern in two colours: deep red and gold, which I think complement the dark wood frame. There are seven files in the set: one frame recolour each for the chair, loveseat and sofa, gold and red upholstery recolours for the chair, and gold and red upholstery recolours for the loveseat/sofa (1 file seems to do for both). All items are base game compatible and do not require any mesh downloads.
Caledonia Suite
My second set of recolours of Shtinky's gorgeous Arizona meshes, this time with a Scottish theme, based around stylish designer tartan cushions. There are two suites, one in purple and one in green, evoking the lush green Scottish countryside and mountains covered with purple heather. Each suite comprises sofa, loveseat and lounge chair with soft chenille upholstery, contrast silk cushions and mahogany feet. All the decor in my previews is Maxis-made.
Lotus Blossom Suite
I recently downloaded some soft furniture items based on Shtinky's Arizona meshes. I was so impressed that I was inspired to have a go at object recolouring myself! So here is my first attempt at object recolouring: a suite of furniture based on Shtinky's gorgeous Arizona lounge chair, loveseat and sofa meshes. I chose an Oriental lotus blossom theme and, as many others have done before me, picked out the colours from the patterned cushion in the upholstery. The suite comes in three colours: bamboo, blossom and jade. Thanks to Windkeeper for the beautiful Oriental decor used in my preview shots.
Bunny Girls Part 4
Recently, I received a request to create a set of Bunny Girl costumes in deep colours in the style of my Festive Bunny Girls set, as opposed to the pastel colours used in my original Bunny Girls set and matching ears. My third set of Bunny Girls, created for Valentine's Day, contains one pastel pink and one deep red bunny girl outfit: Valentine Bunny Girls set.So I have created my fourth set of Bunny Girl costumes, in vivid colours, as requested. I've made costumes in eight vibrant colours: claret, tangerine, deep purple, chartreuse, hot pink, teal, indigo and copper.
Each costume comprises a smart satin suit, cottontail, cuffs with Playboy cuff links, collar with bow tie, name medallion, sexy black heels & black seamed tights. The Bunny Girl body mesh was created by Aardvarkams at MTS2. Matching ears are available for each costume but must be downloaded separately. The bunny ears mesh was created by Windkeeper here at TSR.
The Bunny Girl costumes can be worn by adult and young adult females. The ears are available for all Sims.
Daniel
This is my first attempt at a male hair recolour. I've always struggled to find hairstyles I like for my male Sims. This has always been my favourite Maxis male hair mesh so I decided to have a go at sprucing it up a bit. My recolour is a bit more curly and dishevelled with more shine than the original, which I feel is a bit flat. This hairstyle comes in five realistic shades for male adults, young adults, teens and children: black, dark reddish brown, light sandy brown, red and platinum blonde. There is also a grey version for elder males. It's a bog standard basic Maxis mesh, base game compatible, requiring no expansion packs.
Birthday Party 2007
It's become a tradition (well, it's the second time, anyway!) for me to create a set of cocktail party dresses to celebrate my birthday (23rd of July). This year I've chosen an ultra feminine pink and black theme and used Chriko's delectable ShortBallGown mesh from 2-f0r-u.de. This beautiful mesh has two extra alpha layers over the skirt allowing for the creation of translucent layers and lace. Each dress in this set has a strapless boned embroidered bodice and a satin skirt. Some of the dresses have one or two additional lace overskirts. All come with matching heels. The dresses are categorised under formal wear and can be worn by adult and young adult females.
To locate the mesh at 2-f0r-u.de, go to the "meshes" menu on the left hand side and click on "fashion" then "female". Go to page 8 and the mesh is the right hand mesh in the middle row called "ShortBallGown". In order to see this mesh, you need to scroll up a bit using the (difficult to see) scroll bar immediately to the right of the preview pictures.
