The dresses also feature an empire bustline and frilled hem.The dresses use one of my favourite gown meshes: Giverny by Rosemat at Pronupsims, with its beautiful short train. Based on the ongoing results during the month, I created:
1 male adult everyday set: Earthtones For Men
2 female adult everyday sets: Cropped Casuals and Daisy
1 female adult formal set: Empress and
2 female teen everyday sets: Pretty In Pink and Earthtones.
I hope you liked what I came up with. Thanks again to all who took part in the poll.
Earthtones For Men
Everyday wear for men has been the most popular choice in my January poll pretty much from the very start, so here is a set of outfits for your male Sims: faded blue denim jeans worn with a selection of cosy cable knit sweaters in earth tones and co-ordinating comfy leather loafers. Five sweaters are plain, three have stripes across the chest. This outfit can be worn by adults and young adults and requires a mesh which came with Nightlife.
Earthtones
This is another set of cosy mix & match separates for teen girls, this time in warm earth tones: four snug cable knit sweaters and four co-ordinating pairs of cargo pants worn with sneakers. The sweaters are re-colours of my Pretty In Pink sweaters. The cargo pants are simple re-colours of the Maxis cargo pants. The original Maxis sneakers' laces were squint, which has always irritated me, so I've fixed this. The cargo pants have a nice belt with a silver buckle but unfortunately the sweater covers the belt so it isn't visible in the previews - obviously, the belt can be seen when the cargo pants are worn with a different top.
All items use standard Maxis meshes that came with the base game so, again, everyone will be able to use them.
Pretty In Pink
Teen everyday outfits have been one of the more popular choices in my current poll, so I came up with a set of pretty pink and white mix and match separates for the cold winter months. Originally, I made the skirts with tights as I didn't feel I could send the girls out in the cold with bare legs. However, I had a feeling Ugg boots might be meant to be worn without tights so in the end I made all the skirts with and without tights. So there are four sweaters and eight skirts in this set.All items use standard Maxis meshes which came with the original game so everyone will be able to use them.
Empress
A set of 10 exquisite strapless formal gowns: the boned lace-up bodice is embellished with intricate embroidery and beadwork accents; the shimmering taffeta overskirt is gathered at the side to reveal a delicate pleated organza underskirt. Ten beautiful colour combinations for adults and young adults. These gowns were inspired by a Simple Elegance ball gown and use a Maxis mesh that came with University. Originally, they were only available for young adults and had no bump map. I was able to make the gowns available for adults and add a bump map using SimPE - my thanks to Quaxi for this wonderful programme and also to Morague at MTS2 for her excellent bump map tutorial.
Daisy
This is a simple set of casual mix and match separates for adults and young adults with a daisy theme in shades of lemon, chocolate and cream - yummy! :-)The set comprises four comfy cotton 3/4 sleeve tops with daisy appliqué and four complementary pairs of cropped trousers worn with co-ordinating deck shoes. This set uses standard Maxis meshes.
Cropped Casuals
My first set of 2007 comprises eight co-ordinating mix & match items in pink, black and natural: four cosy cropped cardies worn over contrasting vest tops (three with gingham & heart appliqué); and four cute pairs of cropped trousers with ankle slits & contrasting side stripes (two with rose embroidery on back pocket) worn with sexy kitten heel boots. All items can be worn by adults and young adults and require meshes which came with Nightlife.
