Tropical Paradise Hipster Bikinis
The third set I have created for the Tropical Paradise Theme Week comprises eight sexy striped hipster bikinis in a variety of groovy summer colours. The bikini top has a halterneck tie and an unusual square link detail at the front between the cups. The low slung black pants are embellished with a stylish contrasting sash belt encircling the hips and tied at the front. This set was inspired by some very cute mix'n'match separates by Seafolly. This set can be worn by adults (and young adults if you have University installed). It uses a standard Maxis mesh.Summer Sun Swimwear
The second set I've created for the Tropical Paradise Theme Week is a set of six colourful summer swimsuits for young adults only (due to my own stupidity - if I get enough requests I'll make versions for adults too) so you must have University installed for them to show up in your game. There are two designs, three colours in each style.1. A skimpy bikini in a groovy tropical print, inspired by a Speedo bikini. Comes in three whimsically named colours: Chocolate Strawberry, Palm Beach and Lilac Skies.
2. A halter neck bandeau monokini in vivid multi-coloured striped fabric, inspired by a Heaven swimsuit. Comes in three colours: Mexico, Ocean Azure and Watermelon.
Both styles use a standard Maxis University mesh.
Tropical Paradise Sheer Sarongs
Next week is the Tropical Paradise Theme Week. I plan to submit three sets, the first of which is a set of sheer sarongs in colourful tropical prints worn over an elegant white bikini with jewelled brooch giving a pretty ruched effect to the cups. I've also included the bikini minus sarong. The sarongs were inspired by an M&S sarong and the bikini was inspired by a La Perla swimsuit. The mesh for the sarongs was created by Biene and is called Alpha Nachthemd (is that German for nightdress?). It can be downloaded from www.sim2-fashion.de at http://89.149.194.98/sim2-fashion/datenbank/include.php?path=content/overview.php&letter=&catid=56&themeid=&type=4&order=&entries=8. The bikini without sarong uses a standard Maxis mesh. It can also be worn as underwear. All these items are for adults (and young adults if you have University installed).Mermaid Gowns
This series of gowns was inspired by a Jovani prom dress at eDressMe.com. This elegant strapless gown uses Marko's Mermaid Mesh, available here at TSR. The gown comes in over 20 different shades of taffeta embellished with contrasting black lace & floral beaded appliqué. It has a sexy boned bustier bodice with sweetheart neckline and is worn with a sparkling diamond necklace. For adults (and young adults if you have University installed). There will be several sets in this series. As usual, I'm starting with a classic Black & White set, which generally seems to be the most popular.Weekend Away
My next set comprises a selection of essential items every woman needs for a special weekend away:1. Undies: a sexy black lace camisole and matching panties
2. Everyday: a casual outfit for sightseeing, comprising cropped hipster jeans in distressed blue denim with contrasting embroidery and double metal snap closure. Worn with cute lace-trimmed cream cotton camisole top and comfy sneakers (separate top and bottom).
3. Swimwear: a colourful bikini with black trim and beaded tie detail at the back
4. Evening: a pretty yet sophisticated floral print dress with spaghetti straps that cross at the back and black velvet ribbon trim beneath the bustline; worn with killer high heels (I've classified this dress as an everyday item as it didn't seem fancy enough to be classed as formal).
5. Lingerie: a super sexy sheer powder blue chemise with spaghetti straps, white French lace trim and delicately frilled hemline. Can be worn as a nightie or as a petticoat.
All 6 items are for adults (and young adults if you have University installed). All the items use standard Maxis meshes except for the dress which requires a mesh created by Crechebaby available from Sim Chic at the following URL: http://www.simchic.com/ts2/FREEBIES/FA-EVERYDAY-WHOLE/FAPinkPeaCoat.html
The cute pink coat that comes with the mesh is a nice bonus!
Jeans and dress inspired by the Plenty by Tracy Reese range (eDressMe.com). Chemise inspired by a Julianne silk chemise I saw at Figleaves.com (what a great site!).
Satin Touch
Today I've been working on a set of satin and lace chemises inspired by a Betsey Johnson Intimates slip. These can be worn by both adult and young adult females (if you have University installed) and come in twelve shades. Can be worn as a nightie or as a petticoat.Cocktail Hour Mesh
I've discovered (thanks Ihsuhsocenok!) that PeggySims2 have recently upgraded their site and moved things around so the link in my installation instructions to the mesh required for the Cocktail Hour Dresses no longer works. The new URL for the mesh (Peggybodymesh0002) is: http://freearea.peggysims2.net/mesh.do?direction=nodirection&pagesize=2 It's the bottom mesh with 0002 above it.SIMply For Guys: Clan Kilts
My final contribution to the SIMply For Guys theme week next week is a set of kilts from my home country, Scotland. They are made in clan tartans (except for Black Watch which is a regiment not a clan but has a very famous tartan so I wanted to include a Black Watch kilt) and based on the Maxis Sims 1 and Sims 2 kilt textures and the Sims 2 kilt mesh.In Scotland, Highland dress is mostly worn at formal occasions like weddings. The formal outfit would usually include a fancy shirt and bow tie but the Maxis mesh wouldn't allow me to do this and I had to go with an open necked shirt instead. Also the outer jacket would usually have long sleeves but the mesh has flared sleeves so I had to make the jacket's sleeves short over a long sleeved shirt. Apart from that, the outfit is pretty authentic with sporran, sgian dubh (literally, black knife - a dagger kept in the sock), kilt hose, matching flashes (sock garters), leather brogues (shoes), belt buckle with thistle motif and lucky heather bottonhole. I have made kilts in the following tartans, for no other reason than that I like the colours: Alexander, Black Watch, Crawford, MacBeth, MacDuff, MacFarlane and Wallace.
