Kate In Canada Part 2
So here is part 2 of my Kate In Canada series, four more items inspired by outfits worn by the Duchess of Cambridge during her trip to Canada this summer.
The set requires two meshes available at TSR, one mesh from Mod The Sims and one mesh from H&M Fashion Stuff.
The four outfits included in this set are as follows:
1. The pretty black and white bird print Issa dress which Kate wore to a barbeque on the evening of 30 June along with black Pied A Terre Imperia sling back espadrilles and which she was also seen wearing the evening before her wedding. This dress uses a mesh from H&M Fashion Stuff (one of the few meshes from H&M Fashion Stuff that I hadn't already re-coloured! - see my various H&M sets) which is very similar to Kate's dress except that it has a collar and bangles.
2. The elegant Vanessa dress by Joseph which Kate wore for her departure from Québec on 3 July. I wanted to make this dress with the pretty bolero jacket she wore over it as she arrived in Prince Edward Island, but couldn't find a suitable mesh. This dress uses mesh 090 by Liana. I have included the white gold Asprey diamond pendant she wore as part of this outfit.
3. One of my favourites, the Alexander McQueen knitted sailor dress, very Anne of Green Gables, which Kate wore during her visit to Prince Edward Island on 4 July. This dress uses mesh 005 by Liana. A custom mesh rendering the scarf in 3D would have been ideal but, as I've said before, I am not a mesher and have to do the best I can with existing meshes.
4. Later the same day, Kate changed into a much more casual outfit to take part in a dragon boat race. This outfit comprised a black and grey Nike anorak worn with dark blue jeans and very cute taupe/white Bala moccasins by Sebago. Finding a mesh for this outfit was very tricky and I had to compromise. I couldn't find a mesh with a hood, skinny jeans and flats, so in the end I plumped for a conversion of a male mesh from H&M Fashion Stuff by Fantasyrogue at Mod The Sims. It has a hooded long sleeved jacket and flat shoes but baggier jeans than Kate actually wore. I have categorised this outfit as both everyday wear and outerwear.
As always, a big thank you to all the talented mesh creators who give me the opportunity to re-create these real life outfits for The Sims.
All these outfits are available for adults and young adults.

I'm still planning to re-create more of the outfits from the Canada/USA tour, so watch this space for updates...
Kate In Canada Part 1
I very much enjoyed seeing all the beautiful outfits the Duchess of Cambridge wore during her trip to Canada and the USA during the summer. My latest set, Kate In Canada Part 1 , was inspired by four of the outfits she wore in Canada plus one clutch bag. The set requires three meshes available at TSR.
The first four outfits in this series are as follows:
1. The very elegant Cecile lace dress by Canadian-born designer Erdem which Kate wore for her arrival in Canada on 30 June. This dress uses the same very versatile Ulker mesh that I used for the Shola dress.
2. The striking purple Issa dress, very reminiscent of the dress she wore to announce her engagement to Prince William, which Kate wore on the evening of Canada Day, July 1. This uses mesh 090 by Liana. I have included the diamond maple leaf brooch she wore as part of this outfit.
3. The chic grey Catherine Walker dress which Kate wore in Ottawa on 2 July. Kate carried a gorgeous silver suede clutch bag by Hobbs to complement this dress and I have created a version of this bag to go with the outfit using NataliS's wonderful clutch bag mesh. The Tabitha Simmons shoes Kate wore with this outfit are very cute and I've done my best to re-create these. Again, this dress uses the same Ulker mesh that I have used previously.
4. The following day, Kate again wore a dress by Erdem, this time the beautiful royal blue Jacquenta dress. Once again, this dress uses the same Ulker mesh that I have used several times before.
As always, a big thank you to all the talented mesh creators who give me the opportunity to re-create these real life outfits for The Sims.
All these dresses are available for adults and young adults and are categorised as both everyday and formal wear.

I'm planning to re-create more of the outfits from the Canada/USA tour in the near future, so keep an eye on my minisite for updates...
More Kate outfits on the way
I'm currently working on my next set, another collection inspired by Kate Middleton's wonderful wardrobe. Catherine Walker, Erdem, Issa...Watch this space...
Get ready for Autumn!
Get your Sims ready for Autumn with my Autumn Megaset for The Sims 2, which includes all six of my Autumn clothing sets in one handy superset. This includes 40 different items including tops, bottoms and complete outfits, everyday and outerwear. All items are available for adults and young adults - so your student Sims will be all set up for the start of the new academic year! And what's more, all the outfits use Maxis meshes (various expansion packs required) so you won't have to run around all over the internet downloading custom meshes! The megaset also includes a universal collection file to make it easy to locate the outfits in your game.
Supersets
Today my Athletic Megaset was published, combining all five of my previously released workout wear sets into one handy download.
On Wednesday, my Kate Superset will be published, comprising all three of my Kate Middleton sets with a total of 12 complete outfits and two cute co-ordinating clutch bags.
Hope you like them!
Kate Part 3
My latest set, Kate Part 3, comprises another five items inspired by Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge. This time I've re-created four of her outfits plus one clutch bag. All items are base game compatible except the trench coat, which requires both Nightlife and Seasons.
Kate has the most amazing wardrobe. There are so many gorgeous outfits to choose from. This time I've gone for the following:
1. The very stylish Burberry trench coat with the frilled hem which Kate famously wore to toss pancakes in Belfast in March. It works pretty well using the Nightlife coat mesh, although Kate wore the coat fully closed whereas I've had to re-create it open at the neck. Ulker's scarves go very nicely with this coat. The very cute boots are by Aquatalia. To be pedantic, Kate didn't actually wear these boots with this coat, but rather with a customised Catherine Walker coat. However, as the mesh had boots, I used a little artistic license. Obviously, as the mesh comes packaged with the Nightlife EP, you will need to have Nightlife installed for this outfit to appear in your game. I have categorised this coat purely as outerwear, therefore you will also need to have Seasons installed in order for the coat to show up in your game.
2. The elegant Alexander McQueen military coat Kate wore on Armed Forces Day in June. This uses the same Ulker mesh I used for the Shola dress. Kate carried a beautiful Anya Hindmarch clutch bag to complement this coat and I have created a version of this bag to go with the outfit using NataliS's versatile clutch bag mesh. I have categorised this coat as both everyday wear and outerwear.
3. A couple of days later Kate wore a striking white summer dress by designer Alice Temperley for a visit to watch Andy Murray compete in the Wimbledon tennis championship. Finding a suitable mesh for this one was tricky as the dress has a distinctive tiered skirt. I went with an old Chriko mesh which I've used in the past, which was the closest match I could find. Unfortunately, the site where this mesh originated, 2-f0r-u.de, no longer exists, so I have included this mesh in the download.
4. A couple of weeks ago, Kate again wore a military-inspired Alexander McQueen ensemble to visit Birmingham. It's fairly unusual to see her wearing separates. Again, finding the right mesh was a challenge as I needed a non-skintight knee length alpha skirt to accommodate the two front slits featured in the McQueen skirt. I finally settled on a mesh by Liana.
A big thank you to all the talented mesh creators who give me the opportunity to re-create these real life outfits for The Sims.
All outfits are available for adults and young adults.

New set out soon
Currently working on a new set called Kate Part 3, comprising four complete outfits and one bag made famous by Kate Middleton. Hope to have the set finished and published soon. Keep an eye on my minisite, facebook profile and twitter for updates.
Pippa
Yes, another new set already! This time it's a set of five designer handbags inspired by the Pippa bag (formerly the Bristol bag - they renamed it in honour of its most famous owner) by Modalu of London. Pippa Middleton (the sister of Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge) has several of these bags and carries them everywhere. These are like gold dust in real life - you can't even pre-order one from the Modalu web site anymore - but now your Sims can own not just one but five different colours of this most sought after item!
The Pippa bag is described on the Modalu site thus: "This simple, graceful style is complimented with gorgeous statement zips and a fabulous vintage fitting. In sumptuously soft leather, 'Pippa' is a timeless classic that will become an iconic staple in your wardrobe."
The bags require MESH NataliS bag HB-2 by NataliS available at TSR. If you like these bags, check out my set of Birkins which use the same mesh.
Kate Part 2
My new set comprises four more Kate Middleton related items: three outfits and one bag.
Kate has such beautiful clothes and accessories. I want to make as many of them as I can for the Sims but I must say I'm finding it hard to keep up - every day she seems to have a new outfit! Creating these outfits for Sims 2 is very time consuming, not merely creating the textures, but also finding suitable meshes. The meshes I used for this set were created by A., NataliS and Ulker. The alpha mesh by A. has some issues which I cannot fix as I am not a mesher (see previous blog post). If anyone can fix this mesh I'd be delighted - please let me know.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy my latest creations. The stripy dress by French Connection is a few years old now. Kate wore flats with this dress but I couldn't find a suitable mesh without heels so I took some artistic license with the shoes and created my own, which I do think are quite cute. The Reiss Shola dress was something of a phenomenon, selling out online within a few minutes of Kate being photographed wearing it and crashing the Reiss web site for two days! The third outfit was worn by Kate to the Derby and comprises another Reiss dress worn with a Joseph jacket. I loved the cute little straw box clutch by L. K. Bennett that she carried that day so I've made a Sims version to go with the outfit.
All outfits are available for adults and young adults.
Help! Can anyone fix a faulty mesh for me please?
I am working on my second Kate set and, having re-textured one particular mesh, I noticed that it has a problem which I cannot fix as I don't know the first thing about meshing. The mesh has an alpha skirt but the inside of the skirt is missing which creates a very odd effect. Can anyone fix this mesh for me? I'd be very grateful. It's called 002 by A and it can be found here: Justsims2. I hope someone can help me!
