Happy Thanksgiving!
I wish everyone a happy and blessed Thanksgiving! I'd hope to create a special mini-set before the holiday, but RL is very hectic. Just three more weeks of college before I graduate! Yeah!
I have lots of ideas for sets and collections--so look forward to something special for Christmas!
Enjoy the holiday and Happy Thanksgiving!

Oct. 30th, Kentworth Victorian Dressing Table
Finally! The Kentworth Vanity Dresser/Dressing Table set is scheduled for publication on October 30th. The set features an elegant vanity dressing table with lots of room (slots) for cosmetics, perfumes, and other clutter and it's cloned from a mirror! Sims can gussy up, change their appearance and do other mirror menu option functions.
The set also includes 2 table lamps, 2 theatrical makeup cases, 2 decorative hand mirrors sets and a priceless necklace, The Heart of the Ocean, which is rumored to have a mysterious past! LOL!
One day, when I have lots of free time, I hope to create a collection inspired by the 1997 movie, Titanic. The movie is a visual feast for the eyes, I just love the set designs!
Take Care and Happy Simming!

Coming Soon! Kentworth Victorian Dresser
I'm adding the final touches to my next set, Kenthworth Victorian Dresser. I hope to release it on the 6th Anniversary of my TSR membership. How time flies when you're having fun! Of course, real life is keeping me very busy, I have a presentation and quiz due on October 18th for my Interpersonal Communications course. Wish me luck!
However, creating for the game is never far from my mind, I wrote my college mid-term paper on The Sims 3. I explained how The Sims game can be used in an academic study of interpersonal relationships in the real world. The paper was well received and I'm very happy with my grade!
In celebration of my 6th TSR anniversary, birthday, and the completion of another semester of college, I created a lovely little vanity dresser. I cloned it from a mirror, I've wanted to try this for a long time, and it worked! It still functions as a mirror, with the same menu options, but it looks like a Victorian era dresser. The dresser has 12 decorative slots for objects, and an attached decorative only vanity stool. The set will also include a perfume bottle, gooseneck table lamp, and a few other clutter objects.
Here are a few pictures of the Kentworth Victorian Dresser,

Sept. 27th, Kentworth Bedroom Extras
The Kentworth Bedroom Extras set is scheduled for publication on September 27, 2010. This set features a second version of the Kentworth Bed with 3 slots and a few "extras" to fill those slots. The extras consist of a set of decorative designer pillows, 2 bed breakfast trays with 1 slot, books and reading glasses, wall hanging, 2 vases & rose(s), and a bed throw with 3 slots. You CAN have both versions of the Kentworth Bed in game or just one of them. To use the extras, download the Kenworth Extras Bed with slots.
I hope you enjoy all the extra slots!
Happy Simming!

Kentworth Bedroom Extras
I decided to try adding 3 decorative slots to the Kentworth Bed and it worked like a dream! I should have added slots to the original Kentworth Bed, but not everyone wants a bed with slots. So, I will release a second version of the Kentworth Bed with 3 slots and a few "extras" to fill those slots. So far, the extras consist of decorative designer pillows, 2 bed breakfast trays with 1 slot, books and reading glasses, wall hanging, 2 vases & rose(s), and a bed throw with 3 slots.
I plan to release the set very soon!
Take Care and Happy Simming!

September 19th, In the Details!
In The Details is a collection of antique and vintage table lamps for Sims 3, it includes “Victoriana,” a favorite lamp from Sims 2, “Charmed,” a 2-post table lamp, “Guinevere,” perfect for a child's nursery, and “Princess,” with a delicate floral motif. When decorating your home—it’s all in the details! The collection is scheduled for publication on September 19, 2010.
Happy Simming!

Sept. 12th, The Kentworth Bedroom
The Kentworth bedroom set features the following antique furnishings: a half-tester bed, two-drawer nightstand, two-globe table lamp, tall dresser, decorative jewelry box, and a hope chest. All set items are recolorable.
I did not plan on creating another bedroom set so soon, but I saw a picture of this incredible bed and I just had to create it! The creation of the bed led to the modeling of a dresser, fully animated, nightstand, hope chest, and jewelry box. The two-globe lamp was intended for another set, but I think it goes perfectly with The Kentworth Bedroom set.
The Kentworth Bedroom set is scheduled for publication on September 12, 2010. Here's a picture of the bed that inspired the set...

News! Current Projects!
I am currently working on 2 new projects for Sims 3, but it is slow going due to work commitments, pre-assignments for college courses, and having very little free time to create. I hope to release a new mini-set soon *crosses fingers,* which will probably be a collection of table lamps. Oops! I forgot to include the Guinevere Nursery table lamp with the set's release, I plan to add it to another set and release it soon. Hence, the creation of a table lamp collection!
Additionally, I am working on a vintage half-tester bed, which is now my new favorite bed, lol! Here are a few pictures...
Take Care and Happy Simming,
Carolyn
Vintage Half-Tester bed, I'm also working on a nightstand and dresser for the bedroom set.
You may remember this table lamp from a Sims 2 Vintage Charm set.
Another Vintage Charm table lamp.
Little Princess table lamp, base and lampshade are both recolorable.
July 28th, Guinevere Nursery
Hi y'all! The Sims 3 Guinevere Nursery is scheduled for publication on July 28, 2010. The collection includes 16 object meshes and 1 wall. It's my first attempt at creating a wall for Sims 3. So, be kind!
I'm hoping to inspire a very talented Sims 2 artist, I will not mention her name, to create walls and flooring for Sims 3--now that it is possible with TSR Workshop 2.0. It was not too difficult, but she does a much better job creating beautiful and finely detailed walls and floors!
I managed to categorize most of the nursery's furniture objects under kid's furniture and most of the decorative objects can be found under decorative miscellaneous. Without collection folders it can be difficult and time consuming to find all of a set's objects, I hope to do better in the future. I had a great time creating the set, I hope you enjoy it!
Happy Simming!

The Guinevere Nursery
The Guinevere nursery is my current project for Sims 3. I've spent the past few weeks working on the set in between thunderstorms, hail storms, power outages, and falling tree branches. It seems that every time I start work on the nursery collection a storm rolls in, I have to stop and turn off my computer, LOL! During the last storm a large tree branch fell on the electrical lines in my backyard and I lost power! Oh, well, at least no one was injured.
Finally, the Guinevere nursery set is complete and I hope to publish it soon. The set includes 2 nursery cribs, a changing table (decorative only), highchair, potty chair, armoire (cloned from an end table), table lamp, wall sconce, stuffed elephant toy (decor), new curtains, an overstuffed chair, mobile, framed pictures, and a few other items.
I have uploaded a few pictures of the Guinevere nursery collection as screenshots and as a gallery, please take a look at the nursery and let me know what you think.
Take Care,
Carolyn
