I Get Questions!
Thanks for all your lovely comments, compliments, and questions!
The most asked question of late is, “will I be converting all of my old Sims 2 creations to Sims 3?”
No, I will not be converting my old Sims 2 stuff to Sims 3, it's just not feasible. Sims 3 requires a low and a high poly mesh for each object, textures, and UV mapping are also a bit different. For me, it's just easier to start from scratch and create brand new Sims 3 objects.
I am going to re-invent some of my favorite Sims 2 creations for Sims 3, like I did with the Vanity Fair chaise; it's a new mesh, with a much lower polygon count. I think it looks better than the original mesh. Over the years, my modeling/meshing skills have improved. Thank goodness! I feel much better as a creator of custom content releasing newer, higher quality objects, rather than converting "old stuff" for a new game.
Also, I’m still creating for Sims 2, so there may be a longer wait time between Sims 3 set releases. My next project is for Sims 2!
Take Care, Carolyn :)

It's Almost Ready!
Hi y'all!
College, final exams, and a pesky head cold have delayed the uploading of my next Sims 3 set, which is "bits and pieces" of Regency styled furnishings. I just finished the last object for the set; it's a decorative arrangement of roses in a bowl. I couldn't publish the set without something nice to place in the center of the dining room table, lol! I hope *crosses fingers* to upload the set very soon.
Here are a few screenies...
Happy Simming, Carolyn
It Just Snowballed Out Of Control!
I love creating custom content for the Sims games and I normally know exactly what kind of set I want to create beforehand, whether it is a bedroom, living room, dining room...whatever! I have a plan before I start creating!
But, occasionally, creativity runs amok and I end up with a bunch of vaguely related furnishings. I'm not sure what to call the current collection of objects that I am working on. While all of the furnishings are English Regency styled, not all of them are tied to the same room.
So far, I have a sofa, armchair, writing desk, dining chair, and a dining table. I started with a plan, but things just sort of snowballed out of control, LOL!
I hope to publish this new and "unique" Sims 3 collection of furnishings soon; here are a few screenies...
Happy Simming!

Feb. 14th, Vanity Fair IV
Vanity Fair Part IV is in response to a request for a mirror (similar to the Vanity Fair Dresser Mirror) that can be positioned over a fireplace. A simple request, but I did not know if they wanted a 1 or 2-tile fireplace mirror—so I created both!
When I received the request, I was working on a 2x1 bookcase for Sims 3; I had just completed the bookcase mesh and textured it, when I discovered bookcases cannot be cloned yet—eek! Oh well, I thought, I'll just wait and release the bookcase at a later date, but often I forget about projects, and they never see the light of day again—oh, the joys of getting older!
A much better idea is to bundled the bookcase in with the fireplace mirrors and make it a set! Although the bookcase is purely decorative, I think it will look good in a contemporary or vintage setting. In the future, when working bookcases are possible, I hope someone will remind me to update the Vanity Fair Bookcase from decorative to a working.
Take Care and Happy Simming,
Carolyn

Updated Nautical Boy's Bedroom Armchair Mesh
Hi y'all!
I received 2 comments that the Nautical Boy's Bedroom Loveseat Mesh was "flashing blue" ingame or not appearing at all. I made a few tweaks to the Nautical Boy's Bedroom Armchair Mesh, which is the loveseat's master file, re-tested the object, and it passed with "flying colors!" Oops! Maybe, I should say, it should no longer flash blue!
If you are having problems with the Nautical Boy's Bedroom Loveseat Mesh, please download the updated file Nautical Boy's Bedroom Armchair Mesh, a note in the catalog description states the file was update Jan. 25, 2010. If anyone continues to experience problems with the loveseat after downloading and installing the updated armchair mesh, please PM me.
Thanks for your patience and Happy Simming!

Thanks for your comments!
Thanks for your comments! I recently asked for comments about my new Sims 3 dresser mesh.
I will definitely add the floral texture as an in game option for the dresser. I think a highboy or armoire style dresser would also be a great addition to the set, maybe in the future. I just have to wait for an updated TSR Workshop that will allow for repositioning of existing decorative slots and/or the creation of new slots. I also need for EA to include an armoire type dresser in the game, so that I can clone it, lol! Thanks for your feedback!
Preview of Things to Come!
Well, I'm in Sims 3 mode so far this week. I like the flexibility of moving from one game to another.
I created a new curtain mesh for Sims 3, and I am now hooked on
creating curtains. So, there maybe several new curtain meshes in the
future. It's so much easier to create curtains in Sims 3, you don't
need to create a diagonal mesh!
I'm almost finished with my mini-set, Vanity Fair Part III. I just need
to create another object or two for the set...hm-m-m-m-m, maybe
something decorative!
Just a few pictures I posted in my Victorian Tea Room (forum)
Hugs, and take care,
Carolyn
