Victorian Inspired Kitchen, Aug 27th

Well, my Victorian Inspired Kitchen is taking shape, and Part I (large appliances) release date is August 27. I consider the new set more Victorian inspired then a vintage set. I really wanted to include counters and cabinets, instead of using tables as workspaces. In addition, it would be a sort of difficult to disguise the dishwasher, trash compactor, etc., as vintage objects, so that they would “fit” into a Victorian kitchen.

Therefore, my inspired kitchen has the “feel” of a vintage Victorian kitchen. However, I do plan to include a few unique vintage pieces, for those who prefer a more historically accurate kitchen.

I found a wonderful picture of a vintage kitchen pantry sink with skirting around its base, I would really love to create this for the kitchen. I have a feeling I am going to be stuck in the kitchen for quite a while, LOL!

Victorian Inspired Kitchen Project

Victorian Inspired Kitchen, Part I (large appliances) is set for release on August 27th. The set includes 2 new meshes, stove and ice box (refrigerator) and several recolors.

Did Someone Say Kitchen?

OK, I have furnished my entire (Sims) Victorian home with vintage furniture and decorative objects, but my kitchen is 1950's mid-century chic. Yes, I have avoided the kitchen, because it is a lot of work. Cloning counters, and having them work properly can be difficult. I started a kitchen 1 year ago, and it is still incomplete, EEK! Therefore, instead of waiting until I complete an entire kitchen set, I will release vintage kitchen furnishings as I create them. What is up first? Here are a few screenshots....

Lavender Revisited

I just uploaded a new mini-set, "Lavender Revisited." The set's release date is August 15th, it is a set of recolors of some of my previous vintage objects.

Next Project?

What's my next project? I am working on a recolor of my Magnolia Hill Dining set. The set will match my Antique Gold recolor sets. Stay tuned for screenies. Also, I'm working on a tea cart, I've always wanted one of those in "real life," LOL!
