Me, again I've created a town of just your Oriental houses and community lots that I'm really enjoying. I love the style. Of course, I'm fiddling with them and trying to figure things out. My in-laws lived for a while in Japan, and told me about the Tansu -- the stair step style drawers. According to them, the Japanese once levied taxes based on how many floors/stories a family lived on. To evade the tax, Japanses familes would access upper floors with the wooden Tansu, but pull the stairs away from the opening when the tax man came around. To fool him, the stairs were fitted with storage space to just look like a cabinet. That was also why the tansu has drawer pulls on both sides and is decorated both front and back, so it could be put anywhere in the house when necessary. The story made me wonder if you could be tempted or bribed to create a Tansu style stair case. It wouldn't be moveable to fool the tax man, but it would certainly look very nice!

hehheh!! Andy, don't worrie about not reply back..I'm not writing to give you more work than you already have!! But I find it so kind of you that you did I saw you newest house Eastham Rise,have not looked further yet..I just came in, but I want on forehand letting you know, you make me laughing, not for the house, but the car who is jumping from the ground,straight into the garage? I suppose, it was so funny to vieuw. And sometimes whe need a laugher so badly! The house looks great!! I will download it for sure, cause I'm so curious to the inside..lol Further I hope you and Ruth will have a great Christmastime and lots of goods for the new coming year..till than take care

HI again. I'd send messages via PM only for reasons I don't grasp it doesn't work (maybe it isn't turned on?) Anyway, I went through the turorial and I MADE A HOUSE WITH A BASEMENT GARAGE! Wee me! Worked fine and really wasn't that hard. Your method of making the slope was very fast and easy ('clicks' made perfect sense to me because I'm a wimp at math, too.) So, thank you and a batch of your favorite cookies to you.

I'm studying design in terms of costume and set design. I tried making the L-shaped stairs, but I couldn't connect the top stairs to the mid-level! I think something is wrong with the CFE cheat. Also I'm on a MAC. Thanks for the nice comment!
