Sims 3
I am having such a good time playing Sims 3 that I've not been building as much! Sims 3 is totally awesome! My family is outgrowing my "Georgia" Lot that they've been living in so I'll have to create something else for them, maybe tomorrow.. This is such a great stress reliever! I just love it! :)
Life
Life has been exceptionally interesting for me to say the least, in the past few months. Beginning with the unexpected death of my Father-in-law on Easter. We then lost a close friend of my husband's in a plane crash and shortly thereafter witnessed a horrible accident where my husband was the first person on the scene. But through it all our first grandchild was born! I was lucky enough to spend two weeks with her the first of this month. I just wanted to share a little real life with friends who contact me here and through personal email. Blessings to you all! Life is short. Have you ever thought about the question.. where do I plan to spend my after life? When you are smacked in the face with the reality of the loss of your loved ones, you think about it.
I'm back!
The last 6-8 weeks have been very busy for me and I'm just now starting to feel grounded again. Due to extended family circumstances beyond our control we did a lot of traveling. One great happening was the birth of my first grandchild! (What a precious little bundle) I'm home now, still haven't purchased a new computer so I haven't purchased Sims3. I'll be happily submitting for Sims2 for a while. Wishing everyone a enjoyable memory making summer full of family!
Away for a few weeks
I am a first time *young* Grandma of a beautiful baby girl! I will be gone for a few weeks beginning May 30th to visit my daughter and her baby, which is clear across the USA from where I live. So, I just wanted to let you know that I have completed 4 homes, I will post pictures here.. but cannot get all of the preview pictures taken and posted before I leave.
I also plan to shop for a new computer while I'm gone so that I can get Sims3 as soon as possible and continue to create many more lots! So many wonderful things are happening here at TSR and I'm so happy to be a part of it!
Many new creations in the works!
I have many new creations in the works including several room recolors that are maxis only, so no new meshes for those of you that don't like to add new meshes to your game, just new color schemes! Also have a brand new luxury bathroom and patio set that will require that you have the Kitchen & Bath stuff pack. Also I have many upcoming new lots that are maxis only! So keep your eyes open!
Thank you to all of you that have me bookmarked and visit my minisite often! I appreciate your comments as well, as they keep me motivated to continue to provide you with new and unusual creations! Blessings!
UPCOMING!
We seem to be having some problems with our minisites and the new v7 submissions, in my case. So I wanted to be sure everyone understands that I have several new creations, lots and sets in the making! Be patient! I have to say, I miss v6. (sigh)Busy Season!
Don't forget about me, I'm a little busy with family coming for the holidays to create as regularly as I was but I will be back to submitting lots and other creations as soon as life is back to normal! I hope everyone has a safe and Happy Holiday Season! My Name Change
In case you've not noticed, I've had the 10 dropped from my name here. Just VictoriaGrace instead of VictoriaGrace10.Apartment Mailboxes
When you are finished building your apartment lot and are ready to change from Residential to Apartment, here is what you do:1. Open the cheat box window (CTRL + Shift then C)
2. Type changeLotZoning apartmentbase
3. Save and Exit the lot into the neighborhood. You will see the apartment icon over your lot now!
4. Re-enter the lot and you will see the apartment mailbox in place of the standard house mailbox.
A few people have contacted me about Apartment Mailboxes not showing up in their game after doing the steps listed above. If this is happening to you, don't panic! You might be one of those who has downloaded recolors of maxis mailboxes in your game! I know I ended up with some and have no idea whose lot they came with. But, here is how you can get rid of them:
1. Go into your Sims2Pack Clean Installer, if you don't already have it, you can download it at http://sims2pack.modthesims2.com/
2. Choose directory as downloads and then it may take a long time for all of your downloads to appear, depending on the size of your download file. Good time to go make a cup of coffee or dinner, in some peoples case!
3. Alphabetize your downloads by clicking the name bar.. that won't take as long at all.
4. Scroll down and delete ALL mailboxes you find.
Don't worry, when you reload your game and go into houses, the mailboxes will be replaced with maxis mailboxes!
Upcoming projects
I'm working on several different projects.. a couple of houses (alright, 4 or 5) one is a starter house, another is VERY elaborate, which is my personal preference. A few other houses are half finished, they just didn't keep my interest as I was building them! However, I do need to keep in mind that those are the ones that seem to be the most downloaded here on TSR! When I get bored, I start a new house and go back to the unfinished ones when the spirit moves me to do so. It's the artist in me that says move on, come back later..I'm also working on two full room recolors (Nautical and the other is Retro), neither of which thrill me or I'd have finished them by now. Also have a couple of painting groups to release soon and a wallpaper set of magnificently gorgeous, bright nebula/star/outerspace, real, God-inspired WOWZA walls (in my humble opinion)! I say 'God-inspired' because they are actual pictures of outerspace, like my Orion Nebula walls. Anyway, I'm around and I'm working on many things..
