Old Fashioned Community Lots
Hi everyone! I've finished and submitted the last of my community lots. I may create more later and would be happy to take requests if anyone wants something specific. I'm working on 3 townhouses to go with the series which will be similar in style to the market. The one below is just about finished. Thanks so much to everyone who downloaded my lots or who left me comments. I'm so glad others like my creations and I really appreciate getting feedback. Happy simming! Missy
Old Fashioned Community Lots
Finally I have begun to upload these lots! The Arts District will come out first, beginning with Theatre in the Park, followed by the Museum of Historical Societies and then the Theatre Royale. Next will be the Victorian Grocer's Market, which is funny since it is the last lot I started! But it is finished and ready to go. After that will be City Hall and last will be the six main street lots. I'm stilled tweaking those. I have changed a few of the buildings around, like putting the spa next to the lady's shop and a fitness center next to the gentleman's club. There are eleven lots altogether in the series. I may add others later, but these will be it for now. I have made a park in place of the graveyard, but it it very sparse and simple. I have also taken out the center lots and made them into old fashioned paved streets. If anyone wants those lots, I will certainly upload them as well. I'll post pictures of those in my gallery.

I've added more images to my gallery and updated some others. The arts district is almost finished!
Old Fashioned Community Lots
Hello again! I published a gallery with pictures of the lots I have done so far. What I have in the buildings may change before I'm done, but the appearance of each building won't change much. The colored squares in front of the buildings are the rabbit holes. I put them there so they are fully visible and easily accessible. They have worked fine like that so far, though I did have one sim get stuck when she came out of the spa rabbit hole. I will have to test it some more. I put cash registers in all the shops, but they don't always work. For example, I put a general store register in my lady's shop and even though there is a clerk standing there, when you click on that register to "buy", there are no items on the menu. I have a couple of the lots completely done, but I want to make sure I've included all the things I want before I finalize anything! Some of the lots will have rabbit holes and some will be just community lots like the library and museum. I don't know yet if I'll include the hospital and the police department or not. I thought about making one of the lots into a doctor's office and an apothecary's shop (or drug store)using the hospital rabbit hole. Any thoughts on that? I'm having so much fun with this! Can't wait to share the lots with everyone! Missy
Old Fashioned Community lots
Hello Everyone! I'm building a series of old fashioned community lots and someone suggested I blog about them so I can share my ideas and get input from others before I publish them. They are probably going to be more Victorian in style, but will work for many different historical periods including Georgian, Regency, and Edwardian. Sims will be able to visit the lots and I will be using the custom rabbit hole rugs made by cazarupt so the buildings will have all the same options as the EA community buildings. I'm building the lots on the little island in Riverview, so they will be pretty small. My first lot is a book store and lady’s shop. The lady’s shop is just for fun since sims can’t actually buy things there. I put a dance studio on the top floor so sims can go there and dance. LOL I'm hoping there will be more options for community lots when Ambitions comes out. We'll see! The bookstore has a lot of little areas for reading and I put an art studio on the top floor. The second lot will be for the business and journalism careers. Sims can still visit the lot, but it will be full of desks basically! I posted a couple of screen shots. Let me know what you think! Thanks! Missy
