The most asked question of late is, “will I be converting all of my old Sims 2 creations to Sims 3?”
No, I will not be converting my old Sims 2 stuff to Sims 3, it's just not feasible. Sims 3 requires a low and a high poly mesh for each object, textures, and UV mapping are also a bit different. For me, it's just easier to start from scratch and create brand new Sims 3 objects.
I am going to re-invent some of my favorite Sims 2 creations for Sims 3, like I did with the Vanity Fair chaise; it's a new mesh, with a much lower polygon count. I think it looks better than the original mesh. Over the years, my modeling/meshing skills have improved. Thank goodness! I feel much better as a creator of custom content releasing newer, higher quality objects, rather than converting "old stuff" for a new game.
Also, I’m still creating for Sims 2, so there may be a longer wait time between Sims 3 set releases. My next project is for Sims 2!

Pattern frenzy, for the month of March!
Hi all,
Since the very first release of the TSR workshop, I have acquired a taste for creating patterns. I have quite a number that have built up now. Many of these, I originally created in November 2009, when I was reccuperating after a operation I had at the time. You may have seen some of them, as I have used them in Lots and Sims that I have submitted to TSR. So, I have decided, before I turn my full attention to meshes and objects. I should really upload everything, I have previously created.
So for the rest of this month, I will be going through all my creations and submitting them all to TSR. Yay! for you!
There will be a mixture of themes/designs, from Halloween, Christmas, Easter, kids, floral etc.
All of these are TSRAA. So please feel free to upload any of them with your own lots, screenshots or stories. Any of my work can only be used on TSR, so please keep that in mind and respect my wishes.
Expect 2 to 4 to be added on a daily basis.

Due to a torn calf muscle, Sim yoga is the closest I am going to get to a real yoga practice for some time (sob!). I can't tell you how frustrated I am feeling. So to cheer myself up I wanted my Sims to have a wide range of outfits to choose from for my vicarious yoga practice. This is my third set of yoga outfits, the first two being Unity and Harmony. This set comprises four outfits, with a more casual feel than the previous two sets, featuring linen Capri pants worn with either a kaftan or a halter top. As always, all my yoga outfits are worn with bare feet.
I felt that these outfits, unlike most of my previous yoga outfits, would also work well as everyday wear, so I have also made a version of this set with flip-flops - perfect as vacation wear for use with Bon Voyage.
All these outfits are available for adults and young adults and are base game compatible (do you recognise the pyjama mesh?). I have categorised the outfits under gym wear because the Sims change into gym wear before practicing yoga, even though these outfits wouldn't be particularly appropriate for running on a treadmill or going for a jog. The set comes with an updated collection icon which includes all 14 of my yoga outfits. I will shortly be combining my three yoga sets into a superset for ease of dowloading.
Coastal Living
So what am I doing next for Sims 3, well I have finally got my PC fixed and have started a new set based on coastal living, so far I have a Cabinet, Armchair, Scatter Cushion and Basket/Coffeetable and a Conch Shell, a few more items to go....

Well Okay everyone who reads "The Start Of Something Beautiful" i've been busy with school and i just dont have time to do a legacy anymore, i might carry on with it later on but im just going to have very very very long gaps inbetween chapters sorry! Simples Set
Hiya everyone!
I'm currently in the progress of making a new custom content set called "Simples Set" at the moment but I'm not really getting anywhere because of all the homework I'm getting, but I'm trying my best! I think it's going to include a coffee table, stool (a bit like a living chair) and maybe a rug or something else decorative (three things allways looks better - three's the magic number!) As allways they will be free so keep a look out for them!
I might think of posting some screenshots of them once I have finished each object.
So until then, Byee!! :D
A Set of Pictures...
Well, I've just submitted my first set :-D and I'm sure I've done something wrong! But it's in pending so we'll see what happens tomorrow ;-)...
so i hope everyone likes them, if they are approved ;-). I'll do a French set and a China set too at some point. :-)
On a slightly different note the chocolate poll is coming along great....Milk Chocolate seems to be a firm favourite at the moment with dark and white chocolate neck and neck :-D (I think that milk will win somehow!)...but nobody 'hates chocolate'..Wow..I thought at least one person would have voted for that..but I guess Chocolate is a universal love :-)
Sims 2
I have been so busy of late playing Sims 3 that I had forgotten the beauty and choices available in Sims 2, so deciding to mend the error of my ways I visited the TSR download site for Sims 2 and left with a headache, lol. There are so many talented people out there who have uploaded so many fantastic items that I can't choose what to download ... I wish I had a bigger better computer. LMAO
The beggining of Spring break
Well it's Saturday and I already take back my earlier statement. I wish we ever had one, or at least it was maybe two weeks in coming since my last visit to home. I could probably cry right now I'm so frustrated and ready to get away from my parents. I don't know how they manage it but they just dance (horribly mind you) on my nerves more than anyone else I know.
Anyway I'm thinking about seening if I can get one of my more artistic friends to try her hand at making meshes and various things for Sims 3. I dunno if she will but she's always been someone to tinker her and there. However, it's probably going to be slow going since she doesn't have a computer to support any programs to make and play with such loaded graphics. That's where I come in I suppose since I do.
Well I can't sit in here and type since I have a pet peeve with people eating and hearing them eat...just gives me the willies. So until later.

Well hello, The Sims Resource. I'm so sorry this day came so soon, but yeah -- breazynd has really arrived here to annoy you!
Hmm. Maybe I should tell something about me. Well, I'm kinda normal girl. Not going to tell you my country (why is that? well, that's only because I don't want to share it with you, not yet) or AGE, sorry (-----; But I guess you can guess something about my age just by reading my texts and blog posts and else... It's not work of science you see (: And, my mother tongue is not English. But I manage, I guess.
Something about the Sims 2.... I definitely am NOT an expert in the Sims things! I hardly ever play it, I can't load it into this computer because I share it with someone and she doesn't want it to here. So I'll just have to wait the summer 2O11. That's the time I guess I have enough money to buy own.
And I'm really poor. Seriously. I can't save money for longer than a week --- I buy clothes, I buy CD's, books, accessories, jewelry, magazines and I go to the cinema very often. Well. I was there last time something like month ago... But weell, it doesn't matter. I'm going to go and watch the Valentine's Day and the Alice in the Wonderland some day, in next two weeks I guess. Hey! Maybe tomorrow? Why not?
I'm that kind of person who decides to do something and doesn't give up until it's done. And well, the clock shows now 17:46. In my worst days I could decide to go to the cinema to watch something that starts at 18.OO or 18:15 or something. I really don't leave time for preparing for going. I just GO!
My favourite movie is ABSOLUTELY DEFINITELY PERMANENTLY POSITIVELY The Hairspray from 2OO7. It's just the best. I mean, I can't explain why I like it. I just do.
Well was there enough about me? Tomorrow (or day or day or day or day or day after tomorrow, hehh) I'm going to start the REAL blogging. If I remember to. because this wasn't really a good blog post you see. I just blabbered about myself. That's not good. hmh.

Screenshot Paintings...
I'm not sure how appreciated these will be ;-) but simsjeanie mentioned the other day about having some screenshots as paintings...I've not really been interested in making my own objects, not usually bothered about creating at all :-D, only the odd house here and there..but I guess since I was giving CAW a whirl, and I'd kinda got the hang of that, I thought I would try the workshop tool as well ;-). I've followed Vanilla Sim's tute on how to create paintings, which was wrote perfectly and now I have my first finished project...
It's a clone of the still life painting..but I will probably use one that has a slightly more modern frame in future...I'm going to try to upload it as a submission today..so we'll see if it works ;-)
I will also go through all my screenshots and pick some more out that I think might be nice on sims walls, but since I've got about 6 thousand to go through that might take at least a couple of hours :-D..

Creations update for Twilight Castle and my offers for Easter.
Hi all,
I have 2 new items up for grabs today.
My new lot, availlable for download is called "Modern Heights". This is a large house which looks like an apartment block. It over looks the Town hall, plus other prominent features in the town. This is definately real estate, your Sims wants to be living in. Panoramic views from every angle, at all levels, in every room. Stunning views of the sea, are to be had, from the open top roof deck area too.
My download for Easter is "Cathy Chick". Immature and silly, but lots of fun. Her favourite nibble are eggs of course! Bright and sunny Easter patterns that I have created, have been included too.
My other creation for Easter is called "Easter Cottage Farm". This is pending in submissions and should be released sometime this weekend. This was a large lot which I decorated with lots of great stuff. Unfortuately, the file was so big, I could not get it to upload to the site. I had to cut it down so much, that it has finally been uploaded with only 1 room furnished. I am so sorry about that, as I would have like to have submitted it fully furnished. It is fully decorated though, with quite a lot of custom patterns that I have created. It also has a garden with plants that are nearly all ready for harvest. I have already picked a lettuce, onion and tomatoe to start you off. You will find them on a counter in the Kitchen near the cooker. So remember to send your Sim to go and collect them, so they don't spoil :)
Before I go, just a little update on "Twilight Castle". I mentioned this in my blog about a month ago. It has really took a long time to complete as I wanted it to look just right. I must say, I am so proud of the results. It looks fantastic, but I have a problem :( Like the previous lot I mentioned, I cannot get it to upload to TSR. I am thinking that the size of the file is the problem again :(
I really do not want to cut it down, so if anyone can advise me on this, I would be very grateful. Does anyone know if their is a size limit with Sims3packs being uploaded to the site? I think my file is 32mb. The usual size for my lots are 5 to 12 mbs. So this is quite huge really.

Far and Away
I don't know who actually still comes and looks at my page anymore, but I think someone does so I thought I'd do a little update.
I have been wanting to actually have stuff to post on TSR but I'm still feeling swamped with everything in life. My life has changed dramatically for me since October, mostly because I have found my dream job. I am now officially a self-employed graphics designer (see my stuff here!) and doing really well. The only down side is designing my brother's wedding invitations with custom artwork (and I am very honored) but at the same time it is the most difficult batch of things to draw, and the frustration is draining a lot of my happiness and energy. You wouldn't know how to draw a Scottish thistle, in fine detail, in pencil would you? It's a freaking two-tone ball of spikes on a stick! In addition to that, I feel like I have about half of the programs I need to do a quality job but at the moment, forking out $700 for Photoshop CS4 is near imposable. On the plus side I do have Adobe Illustrator, and just recently bought my first Wacom tablet and that has made things LOADS easier. I would have preferred a Intuos 4 medium, but the small works well, was half the price, and gives me a smaller space to get used to using a tablet because I have never messed with one before.
What does this have to do with TSR? I feel like I hardly have time to get my work done, let alone any breathing room to play around with Sims 3 or trying to figure out my way through the meshing/object tutorials. I swear there needs to be a tutorial for object creation that every micronic step has a screen shot, because once it gets to some of the texturing parts, I get so thoroughly lost that I couldn't find my way through it if my life depended on it. I was actually having a lot of fun with the meshing though, but it feels strange doing two versions of the same mesh. :D
I am frustrated to tears that I can't get even a single object completed and properly textured in the game. I cannot figure out how to get the fourth (Alpha) channel to work, and last time I tried I was using my Photoshop CS4 free trial that is now expired. I'm mad and depressed because I can't texture my stuff properly, and I can't even make my own patterns! And that leaves me stuck with all the EA ugliness because I wanted to see what I could make for my game instead of getting into the habit of downloading everything.
Why did EA make the game so difficult for creators? Its like being the hungry horse with the carrot danging just out of reach. When I see people get up new meshes, it doesn't excite me, it just makes me very sad. Once I get everything down and understand it (and have the programs that I need as well) there will be no problems.
On top of that I'm a workaholic (without the happy moodlet for it) and I'm sick. :( HELP! send me some encouragement if you have any to spare...

Hi everyone, I thought that I would make my first post on my blog and introduce myself, finally. I am Caitlin, as you already know, and I have been playing the sims since the sims 2 first came out. I immediatly was hooked on building houses but I never got around to sharing any of them. So now I am trying to do that with the sims 3.
As of now I have nearly 6,000 downloads and I am thrilled that you guys like my houses so much. I love all the awesome comments that you guys have and so far no problems, knock on wood.

I've got a Problem!!!
I'm stuck (again!), I don't know whether this is a glitch that is being experienced by anyone else, but it's only started since having the new stuff pack installed....
For some reason my sim is catching fire from traps that have been disarmed already!!
She can't get past the already disarmed trap, she can't get past the flaming trap because a)she's too scared b)she's ready to pass out because she's so tired because I've trying this for so long....
I'm going to keep trying until I can think of a solution!! Ahh, I could zeneport over ;-) but that would require a couple of hours she doesn't have..not sure if she can die from a severe lack of sleep (I got an eye twitch once from severe lack of sleep :-D)...
Plus, because she wants to pass out everytime because she's getting burnt so much (i've tried 7/8 times now) she keeps walking onto that trap, because SHE thinks its been disarmed and then gets burnt again...I'm flummoxed!!
Multipliers with photos - and glass!
I promised I wouldn't update, but you probably realise I am weak on promising so I shan't even bother apologising.
I have added two great new pieces to the tute. Firstly, how to use extracts of real photographs to make the best Multipliers ever, using Multipliers to reduce polycounts(!), and also how a couple of simple black and white 
lines make amazing fabric details thanks to Apple (and all within reach of the total newbie who hates painting anything).
Secondly, we have an entire new section on making glass objects, which includes mention of all the glass shaders at your disposal, how you should map glass for undistorted reflections, and the perfect settings for realistic looking translucent glass (thanks to Shino&KCR).
And if you missed the last update, a totally rewritten section on Speculars!

Friday...why must you come so slowly?
Today...well it was a short one thankfully. One class at 8:30 that seems to drag on into the next year. I was hoping I could sleep the rest of the day away, but of course not. It seems that no one needs or wants me until I'm cranky, have a headache, deprived of caffeine, and tired beyond belief. My phone rang 5 times (all calls from the same person) and I 15 text messages in the span of 10 minutes. Needless to say the crappy thing got turned off. However, I believe I missed the call that I was looking forward to getting and if I didn't well screw you too Di Dio!!!!!
Tomorrow I head back home to my small rural town and away from this trash heep they call Raleigh. Yeah that's right Raleigh, if you've had the pleasent experience of not visiting this place then good for you! I hate it. There's nothing to do here for those like me, and unfortunately my best friend happens to be a party goer and if I want to see her I end up in places I never wanted to be. But on the best note of all is that when Friday gets here I have nothing to do BUT go home! WOOT! A full exciting (yeah right) 2.5 to 3 hour drive with my father of all people. Love him to death but sitting in the truck with him for that long is awkward. I can handle it though, I hope, because I'm really ready to see the apples of my eye. I went home last week and since I would be doing so again I had to leave them there...I really miss my babies. And before someone gets the wrong idea, my babies happen to be a C4 strain albino rat and one of the most retarded fancy hamsters you've ever come across. Of course they're not my only babies because I do have a foal sized dog that has slowly become more of my fathers than mine. I guess spending 4 years away can do that.
On a funny note my brother is trying to steal my boyfriend away from me....don't ask. It's true though. They spend more time together than I get to spend with either of them.
Welp it's back to cleaning so I don't come back to nasty surprises (such as cockroaches).
P.S. Thanks peachy and I hope you get your break cause I believe that you need it more than the new girl understands.
