Hey Everyone! I won't be here tommorow (Wednesday)or Thrusday. For those of you who don't know the story here it goes. About two to four weeks ago I got my back x-rayed because my aunt saw that one of my shoulders was higher then the other. It turns out I had scoliosis. Turns out my spine has bent 50 degrees to the right. I have to travel up to Sydney on Wednesday and getting a brace fitted on me in Westmeed Children's Hospital on Thursday. I might be able to come back on Friday but no gurranties. Just leave your messages here and I'll try and get back to you as soon as I can. Thank you guys!!

yup it was my birthday on Nov 20! Yay i'm 21 but still a kid at heart. ehhehe. just got a job, and i'm mostly tired at the end of the day. I'm in charge of releasing and issuing checks for certain operations in the company! It's scary since it's money, i gotta watch out for those who plan to get away in straling some of the company's money. Anyway good luck in the brace and hope your back returns to normal sooner. how are you feeling so far? miss you as well!

Oh my. . .I really just don't know what to tell you! I am so sorry! I understand that this is a horrible disease (my grandmother and uncle have it, but have both recieved treatment and are much better now), and my prayers will always be with you! Good luck with your brace, be sure to make sure that it does not irritate your skin though, talcum powder would help. If there is anything at all that I can do (I know I'm distant, but there always could be something), do not hesitate to ask! Please take care, and I hope that everything with the fitting and recovery goes well! May God be with you!

Well just remember the trick I told you about layering; baby or talcum powder, tank undershirt then the brace then the shirt (unless of course you don't care who sees it). Your brace is probably going to be much smaller than the kind I needed, but my brace got so sweaty during summer that I tended to have powder and 1 or 2 extra undershirts in a backpack. I wouldn't have thought of that stuff.....my Mom did. It just happened to be that before she had me she had been an occupational therapist. When the veterans of the Vietnam war came back there was a huge need for all sorts of medical type jobs......including OT. She hadn't worked in that field for sometime by the time I got hurt....BUT she still had all that training up in her head. I was born in Oregon (a state in the North West), my mother was an OT and my father was an engineer. Shortly after I was born we got sent to Mexico so that my father could show them how to make their homes more earthquake resistant (where we went they still made homes out of mud and wood beams......no electricity or running water). When we moved there my mom had to give up her job. When we moved back to Oregon my mom had been out too long and had to get re-certified. But then we wound up moving to Arizona before she could do that, then my parents got divorced (I told my mom "daddy scares me like a firetruck" that was when my mom decided it would be better they go their separate ways) shortly there after. Because I was still young mom had to take care of me instead of going to work. Once I was in school and old enough that if I got home before my mom it was OK for me to be alone for just a short time, she tried to go back to school so she could get her job back (she hadn't been current at that time for over 5 yrs. But then mom found out she was pregnant with my sister. Since he lived in California we moved here to be with him. He turned out to be a jerk and kicked us all out including my pregnant mother. But then a wonderful man came along. I met my DAD when I was 8. What is super funny about it is that the biological father and MY DADDY (the one who adopted me as his daughter shortly after they were married) knew eachother AND my Daddy had had his eye on my mom when they 1st met, but the 2 guys HAD BEEN friends (up til we got kicked out) and so he backed off and let Dan have my mom. I wish it could have been Jose in the 1st place. I never felt like I wasn't HIS child.....he used to tell me "you're the daughter I CHOSE, mommy's and daddy's don't usually get to pick their children.....you just get what God gives. But I got lucky......I got to choose whether I wanted you or not......and so if it's OK with you......I want to be your father forever". That was how he asked me if I wanted to be HIS daughter. Unfortunately very shortly after Daddy had a major stroke and then his health just went to the crapper so to speak until he died. And so again mom didn't get her certificate. Then she had to wait for my sister to be old enough, but when she was 6 & I was 14 she tried AGAIN. But then my accident wrecked that idea. But my mom is FINALLY working in the field again (for other people so she actually gets paid). Personally I think my mom (and everyone elses of course) deserve a Mother's Month.....not JUST a day. Wow. That's probably more than ANYONE wanted to know about me. LOL Oh well. Enjoy your trip (aside from the getting fitted for a back brace part). Well TC.
