Room-by-room rundown:
Entrances/Exits/Tunnels:
- Tunnel walks are much shorter than BBH1 and use garage doors to control entry/exit.
- Eviction route: Head out the Lounge Room balcony door to the Eviction Walk, into the Auditorium, back out, through the door behind the Eviction Walk stairs to the front door.
- The lower hallway can be used for more secret passageways.
Auditorium/Eviction Walk:
- The auditorium now features an Eviction Walk, a short outdoor stretch set up for grand appearances from evicted HMs on their way to the stage.
- The auditorium seats over 60 Sims and features a bridgewalk to get your HM onstage, a display prize car, and retains the upper balconies from BBH1 (move the car for access, using moveobjectson. Personally I never used the balconies; they just looked good.)
- To interview Housemates, simply create a host Sim and have the two sit on the sofas and chat.
- Tip: To personalise the auditorium, get a Sim to paint portraits of your Housemates and hang these through the auditorium. Also try recolouring the lights to give a different feel!
Backyard:
- The backyard is Chinese garden-themed and now features a deck floating over the pool/pond.
Lounge Room:
- Seats 8 and includes the mailbox and burglar alarm.
- BBH1s mystery window is back, above the lounge on the second storey.
- Tip: Take photos of each HMs face with a phone. Place the nominated HMs photos in the window and make the lights green. When a HM is evicted, display their photo in the window with red lights.
Punishment Room:
- The Punishment Room is back, and is bigger with a fridge, table, TV and bookshelf, so that it can be used for longer stays.
- It is visible above the lounge next to the mystery window and is accessible via the Diary Room.
- Tip: Design a uniform for HMs to wear in the Punishment Room (see picture for example).
Diary Room:
- The diary room now seats 3, and their attention can be held with the TV.
- Has garage door access to the Punishment Room, basement (allowing discrete exit from the House) and Resort.
- Includes a wardrobe for assigning HMs task-related clothing or punishment room uniforms.
Bedroom:
- Tip: Fits 8. Remove beds as HMs are evicted. To stir up drama, have less beds than HMs.
Bathroom:
- In BBH1, the toilets always broke and nobody showered with others in the room. The toilets are now unbreakable, and the shower is walled off for privacy.
- There is also seating in the bathroom so HMs can get ready for evictions together.
Chillout room:
- Similar to BBH1's barn, the upstairs Chillout Room is a cosy and intimate setting for HMs to hang in a few at a time.
White Room:
- Inspired by a format used on BB Australia, the room is all-white and features only the barest essentials and is designed as a test of determination (the phone is symbolic of the give-up button where a HM chooses to forfeit the game because they cant take it anymore).
- Tip: Put the week's bottom two in the White Room. Whoevers Mood is lowest after 48 hours gives up and is evicted. Dress inmates as in picture above.
Secret Resort:
- In BBH1, the Hideaway House provided opportunities for twists involving intruders, disappearing and returning Housemates and rewards for tasks. This has been replaced by the new Secret Resort a multi-storey canopy for two over a swimming pool.
In my opinion this House learns from its predecessor and has been thoroughly tested for bugs. The only one I couldn't fix was the 'Uncovered walls or floors' moodlet that appears in the Resort despite everything seemingly being painted. If you figure out the problem area please let me know!
