my first custom skin birth

ok i've read on forums that only custom skins that have the baby skin too can be born, but i was under the assumption that both parents would have to have the same custom skin for the baby to be born with it. the mother is a custom skinned sim that was supposed to be a male but i lost the hair file for it, so i made a female instead..the father is a regular maxis skin sim with modified eyes. in the toddler pic you can see the baby is gonna look more like mommy than daddy...unless as he gets older his eyes change ^-^
