Created for: The Sims 3
In 1850 Hudson's Bay Co. fur trader, John Tod retired from a career that had taken him to some of the most remote parts of Canada. He settled in New Caledonia, west of the Rockies and bought land near the new HBC trading post at Fort Victoria on Vancouver Island. Here he began building a timber frame house, completing it in 3 phases over the next 20 years while raising a family and serving on the Executive Council of the newly-formed colony of B.C. The house which was once secluded in the midst of 150 acres overlooking Oak Bay, is now tucked behind tall trees and a white picket fence in this well-established and picturesque beach neighbourhood of Victoria. Amazingly, it is not a museum but a private home. This lot features a wide veranda, centre hall separating Dining and Living Rooms, Library, Lounge, Pantry and Bathroom on the main level. The oldest part of the home houses the kitchen with access to a full basement with laundry. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms and another bathroom. Only sparsely furnished - ready for your Sims to move in and furnish. Part of my Historic Canada Series.
