This was actually a really neat story. My legacy, the Riviera family, were started by Owen and Piper Riviera. I was playing one of their adult daughters in another home, when I got a notice (via a Story Progression Mod that I use) that Piper passed away. I immediately switched back to playing Owen and Piper's household. Owen was heartbroken that Piper had passed away. They had lived long lives because Piper was a fantastic cook and made them Ambrosia so they could start their elder years together again. She was also a wonderful gardener who left several money trees, flame fruit and life fruit bushes, cheese, egg and steak plants, and one very special plant: a Death Flower, which Owen harvested the next morning after Piper's passing. That evening - only one day after Piper's death - Owen, too, passed on. He became a ghost, which you can see here, and in the next screen shot you will see the Grim Reaper and Owen's Urn on the floor. However, because Piper left Owen the gift of one unharvested Death Flower when she passed on, Owen was able to give the flower to the Grim Reaper, and continue to live on for a while longer!
