Meet the Foggy Bottoms Moonshiners - a generations-old family 'business' which flourished both prior to and after the clandestine distilling of bootleg liquor became illegal, up until . . well, who knows? Could be that an occasional jug is still passed around in Foggy Bottoms; I'll leave that to you to determine.

I have removed the trees in the second and third screenshots for clear viewing.

Foggy Bottoms was created inside a triangle of swampy land formed by Bayou Gulch Drive and Herschel's Pond Road. It was necessary to demolish 3 unoccupied houses [Aerie Supply at 568, Watershed at 574 and Swampy at 582 [Bayou Gulch Drive]. The Bayliss family at 153 Herschel's Pond Road were evicted and that house also demolished. Then all lots were similarly demolished and new lots put down in their stead. Mount'n Dew 20x30. White Lightnin' 25x20. Moonshine 20x20. Hooch 20x20. Apart from the lot for Mount'n Dew, which was unchanged in size, the others were deliberately smaller, so as to fit more tidily on the map. . . . .

I have provided before and after maps showing the location of the individual cabins for the Moonshiners. It is a little bit timeconsuming perhaps, but not at all difficult to amend the map in preparation for installing the lots, but if you encounter problems or don't understand the process, send me a Private Message [from the Dashboard, top of your minisite page] and I will help you get things organised. . . . .

Foggy Bottoms Moonshiners is a marcorse original work. You may not re-upload it anywhere, use it as a template to build a lot for upload [you may do anything you like with it, within your own game LOL] nor claim it as your own work, either as the full set or individually. . . . . .
Naturally, if you so desire, they may be downloaded separately, rather than as the set, by going to the relevant previews shown on this page. I have all EPs/SPs [except Hidden Springs and Showtime] installed on my base-game; my game is patched to 11.0.84.015001/base game 1.33.2.015002. . . . . . .

Hooch
Item Description + Polygon Count
Hooch
153 Herschels Pond Road Probably the second- most important building in the Foggy Bottoms enclave, this one has a deep cellar, which used to house the still and was also the major storage area for the bottled 'stock'. The entry to this illicit distillery was [and still is] by way of a stair in a hidden space behind the swinging bookcase panel in the bedroom, although the drop-down, trapdoor stair was replaced recently with a more modern, space-saving circular version. The cellar space itself was converted to an underground 'hideout' bunker for the compound residents, when the still was removed to an offsite location, around a generation ago. It remains in that same readiness today, although there is little likelihood of it ever being utilised. Nothing elaborate about the cabin itself . . one single bedroom and the bath, and a general purpose room serving as living/kitchen/dining. The grounds are overgrown with weeds, but there were never any plantings - the thinking being to avoid hiding places for covert operators from the Revenue Service I guess. The kennels for the guard dogs are empty, save for a couple of dummy hounds that someone, with a sense of history, placed in the front yard. The third kennel at the side-rear is, itself, a dummy - it's main purpose is to conceal the flue for the stove in the panic room!

Moonshine
Item Description + Polygon Count
Moonshine
Bayou Gulch Road Moonshine was home-from-home to itinerant family members who came and went from time to time with a delivery of the bootleg wiskey stored in the shed at Mount'n Dew. If there was a need to sleep over, there was sufficient bed room here in the upstairs dormitory. It had a permanent resident [usually a younger, better educated son], who took care of the books and kept track of the FBM's finances. All such mundane activities occurred in the large, multipurpose room on the ground floor; the only other significant room being the bathroom, which had been brought indoors at some point. A well in a rear corner of the yard provided water reticulation for the whole compound, lifted by means of power from the old windmill, and pumped to the various residences. The windmill, although in a sad state, is still operational.

Mount'n Dew
Item Description + Polygon Count
Mount'n Dew
582 Bayou Gulch Drive Mount'n Dew was where it all began, way back in the moonshine heyday, before it all became illegal. Great-great-grandpappy, Enos Cawnhall, built a tiny, grey shingle cabin for his bride,June Pearl when they first came to Foggy Bottoms [as the area was then known] -in time, his sons added their own small 'fiefdoms' when they came of age. Succeeding generations of Cawnhalls have extended and modified that first, simple little cabin into the rather elongated building that exists today. One feature of these extensions was laid down by Enos as a requisite for all - there had to be staircase access to all levels so that no one should ever be trapped upstairs if there was a need to immediately vacate the premises - for whatever reason! Of course, down the years that pre-emminent factor requiring flight became the presence of Government Revenue agents whose task it was to locate and 'contain' all moonshiners. If you noticed the vehicles around the compound at all, you probably thought they were a rusty, useless lot and not worth your attention? . .. not so. They may look their age and their original colours have long given way to the insidious red of rust, but under the bonnet [literally for the truck] the engines sing as sweet a rhthym as they ever did, for their mechanicals were scrupulously maintained as a means of last resort . . escape from Foggy Bottoms.
4
White Lightnin'
Item Description + Polygon Count
White Lightnin'
Bayou Gulch Road White Lightnin' had always been the home of the eldest son of the current patriarch. Often he was a single man, but occasionally some adventurous or simple friend of a distant relative would be enticed into matrimony and the house would be made more homey for a time. Conditions were rough, so the FBM womenfolk tended not to attain great age, which meant that living quarters were most often basic at best. White Lightnin' is a single-story house of 2 main rooms, with the bathroom/toilet housed in a separate 'room', a couple of steps from the backdoor, but under the main roofline. The large, double entry barn is now used for hay storage, in keeping with the ostensible horse ranching occupation of the enclave, but was once a storage space for the barrels used to distribute bulk product. . . the loose box at the rear of the property also didn't see much actual horseflesh! If you think about it, a swamp is not the first location one would suggest for horse raising - perhaps the moonshiners had been sampling their own merchandise too often? Kennels to house the watchdogs, and strategic lighting helped keep an edge over anyone likely to be snooping around at night.
