I enjoy building. I've discovered that recently. I like looking at floorplans on homebuilding sites and saying to myself, "I could fit that floorplan on a 2x4 lot and dress it up a bit!" I've also discovered that I don't like furnishing and decorating my homes. So, I move my sims in with the bare minimum and decorate as they can afford. In that way, each of my homes has its own personality.
I came up with an idea for a massive home building undertaking, but I'm not sure I'm up to the task (mainly because I build for awhile, and then I get bored with it >.< ). But, I'd like to build a series of houses - each abode named after a state in the USA, each home in the style that is most commonly found in that state. It'd force me to start playing with different styles, and to become more creative rather than remodeling existing Maxis homes, or building cookie cutter homes.
I also enjoy looking at the great work of the many talented artists within our wonderful Sims Community - it's a very heartening thing to see how they'veall come along in their art. Very inspiring and encouraging. Thank you all!
