Hey! The issue is familiar to an extend, but not the exact way you describe it. So it is easy to prevent it from showing up on female sims, I basically just forgot to check one box while creating (happens more often than you'd imagine, not only to me, haha). I updated the skin now and it'll take approx a day to be updated here on TSR. However, there is no way the skin remains stuck on your sims after you removed the file. Could it be that you have it twice in your mods folder? If you saved the sim with the skin on, it will automatically re-attach once you load that sim (if the skin is in your mods folder). The skin is in the skin detail section quite at the end of the list. As it is not meant to show up on females, it won't have a thumbnail and is therefore rather easy to miss. Good luck!
