About Me
My earliest memories are of waking at daybreak, lying on my bedroom carpet and drawing/colouring with art implements that magically appeared there during the night. It never occurred to me that the purpose of this ritual was to afford my parents an extra hour or two of sleep. (Fyi, I was their fifth and final child...so constantly polishing the shine of parenthood had probably exhausted them by then, heheh).
The other thing I would like to write here is that around age 5 or 6, I read an absorbing fairy tale about a girl whose dollhouse dolls came to life and moved around, even talked! This fantasy seized my imagination for years and I very much wished this could really happen. Imagine my shock the first time I played The Sims!!! Which leads me to offer you these important words of inspiration..."Dream NO SMALL dreams!"
Well, it seems that TSR removed my banner photo I had here of my playground in Moth, India for my sponsored child's Good Shepherd School---probably because it was not wide enough to fit the preferred measurements for that slot. However, I am now left with such a serene island picture placed here that I am reluctant to remove it....as it reminds me of my much-loved mother (who grew up on that spectacular island of Bermuda) and also, it reminds me of another of my precious little children who(m) I sponsor through World Vision Canada. She lives on an Indonesian island with wilder yet still lovely terrain and you can see it and see her (Fransiana) in two videos I uploaded to YouTube. The original 2-minute video is entitled, "Sharing my JOY as a World Vision Sponsor" and the second 3-minute video is called, "My Continuing JOY as a World Vision Sponsor". They are a treat to watch (in my opinion) because both are suffused with a lot of love. Maybe see if you agree? Ciao.
