1
Tudor Set - Anne Boleyn
Item Description + Polygon Count
Tudor Set - Anne Boleyn
Henry VIII's second wife Anne Boleyn. Anne successfully convinced Henry to divorce his Spanish first wife, Catherine of Aragon and to break with the Catholic Church in Rome. However, when it proved that Anne, like Catherine before her, would not present Henry with his much wanted male heir, Anne was charged with treason and executed. Ironically, Anne and Henry's daughter Elizabeth would prove to be one of England's greatest Monarchs.
2
Tudor Set - Anne of Cleves
Item Description + Polygon Count
Tudor Set - Anne of Cleves
Henry VIII's fourth wife. After Jane Seymour died, Henry's counselors convinced him that he should marry again in order to get another male heir and his choice fell on Anne, the second daughter of the Duke of Cleves. Unfortunately, Henry took one look at Anne in person and decided he wanted Catherine Howard instead. So he offered Anne a generous settlement in exchange for a divorce, which the poor frightened lady accepted gladly and spent the rest of her life as "The King's Beloved Sister".
3
Catherine Howard
Item Description + Polygon Count
Catherine Howard
Henry VIII's fifth wife, Catherine Howard. A cousin of Anne Boleyn, Catherine was the third Howard woman to grace Henry's bed (Anne's sister Mary had been Henry's mistress before Henry saw Anne). There is evidence that suggests that the charges against Catherine, unlike those against her cousin Anne, of sexual treason, were in part true. Catherine was the last of Henry's wives to be executed.
4
Tudor Set - Catherine of Aragon
Item Description + Polygon Count
Tudor Set - Catherine of Aragon
Henry VIII's first wife, Catherine of Aragon. Daugther of Isabella and Ferdinand of Spain, Catherine came to England to be the wife of Henry's brother Arthur. After Arthur's death, Henry VII refused to send her back to Spain in order to hold on to her dowry. Then after his father's death, Henry VIII married her. When Henry fell for Anne Boleyn, Catherine refused to agree to a divorce and found herself exiled to a succession of poorly maintained castles and manors until she died of cancer and the cold.
5
Tudor Set - Catherine Parr
Item Description + Polygon Count
Tudor Set - Catherine Parr
Henry VIII's sixth and final wife, Catherine Parr. This Catherine was Protestant, and a student of the Reformed Faith, a fact that almost cost her life. However, she evaded death with a show of meekness and survived Henry to marry her long-time love, Thomas Seymour. Ironically, the Queen who had thought herself barren, died giving birth to a Seymour daughter, which left her fourth husband free to plot a marriage with Elizabeth Tudor.
6
Tudor Set - Edward VI
Item Description + Polygon Count
Tudor Set - Edward VI
Only legitimate son of Henry VIII and his third wife, Jane Seymour. Edward inherited the throne at about ten years old and died at nearly sixteen having been a paun of first his Seymour uncles then the Dudleys of Northumberland. In order to maintain the new Church of England, Edward incited a short lived civil war by naming his cousin Jane Grey his successor instead of his sister Mary, an act which cost Jane Grey her life and gave her a place in history as the "Nine Day's Queen".
7
Tudor Set - Elizabeth I
Item Description + Polygon Count
Tudor Set - Elizabeth I
Daughter of Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn, the last Tudor Monarch. In order to avoid having to chose between a foreign husband whom her subjects would mistrust and the love of her life whom her nobles hated, Elizabeth never married saying "She was married to England". When she died, her throne passed to her Stuart cousin, James VI of Scotland, uniting the Isle of Britain under one crown.
8
Tudor Set - Elizabeth of York
Item Description + Polygon Count
Tudor Set - Elizabeth of York
As the eldest daughter of Edward IV, Elizabeth of York was rightfully England's first Queen Regnant after the death of her father and the mysterious disappearances of her brothers. However, after she secured Henry Tudor's promise of marriage, Elizabeth waived her right to rule in her own right and submitted contentedly as Queen Consort. One interesting note, Elizabeth's image has flurished, portrayed on every deck of cards as the Queen of Hearts thanks to Henry VII.
9
Tudor Set - Gallery Sign
Item Description + Polygon Count
Tudor Set - Gallery Sign
From Henry VII and Elizabeth of York to Elizabeth I, the House of Tudor ruled England for more than 100 years. During their reign this wiley family brought peace and prosperity to England, making it into the land of Shakespeare and Raleigh.
10
Tudor Set - Henry VII
Item Description + Polygon Count
Tudor Set - Henry VII
When Henry Tudor defeated Richard III at Bosworth Field, the line of Kings begun with William of Normandy was transformed from the House of Plantagent to the House of Tudor and ending the Wars of the Roses. While Henry's ascension brought peace to England, it is now widely believed by Scholars that Henry not Richard III was responsible for the murder of the Princes of the Tower.
11
Tudor Set - Henry VIII
Item Description + Polygon Count
Tudor Set - Henry VIII
Second son of Henry VII and his wife Elizabeth of York. When his older brother Arthur died shortly after his marriage to Catherine of Aragon, Henry became the heir to the throne. Little did the English people know that their gay young king would set their world upside down in his quest for a son and heir by breaking with the Catholic Church and creating the Church of England.
12
Tudor Set - Jane Seymour
Item Description + Polygon Count
Tudor Set - Jane Seymour
Henry VIII's third wife, Jane Seymour. Jane was the mother of the male heir Henry had longed for, Prince Edward. However, she died only days after her son was baptized. As a side note, despite the fact she is known as the "Protestant Queen", Jane was a Catholic.
13
Tudor Set - Mary I
Item Description + Polygon Count
Tudor Set - Mary I
Daughter of Henry VIII and Catherine of Aragon. England's first Queen Regnant and one of its most unpopular monarchs. Mary was a fervent Catholic and because of her father's treatment during his infatuation with Anne Boleyn, Mary felt closer to her Spanish relatives. This was a mistake since it alienated her subjects and led to her short and unhappy marriage to Philip II of Spain. Mary is best known as "Bloody Mary" for her religious persecution of her Protestant subjects
14
Tudor Set - Pennant Light 1
Item Description + Polygon Count
Tudor Set - Pennant Light 1
Henry VII's battle pennant has been revived in this fun and functional lamp. Relive the Wars of the Roses and the Begining of the Tudor dynasty with this lamp. Plain when turned off, when this lamp lights up, a red cross is displayed over a red dragon and rosettes that shows the Tudor's connection with Wales and the House of Lancaster.
15
Tudor Set - Pennant Light 2
Item Description + Polygon Count
Tudor Set - Pennant Light 2
Medieval was never more reborn than in this lamp! Green with white stripes, the colors of the House of Tudor will complement even the most Italianate of palaces while the Tudor roses that show up in the dark will illuminate the darkest castle.
16
Tudor Set - Philip II of Spain
Item Description + Polygon Count
Tudor Set - Philip II of Spain
Although a scion of the Royal Hapsburgs and a Monarch in his own right of a foreign country, Philip bore the title "King of England" by virtue of his political marriage to England's first Queen Regnant, Mary Tudor. Instead of staying at her side and comforting his aging bride, Philip induced her to further Hapsburg ambitions by bankrupting England in his war against France and institute the beginnings of the dreaded Inquisition.

Since the Showtime series the Tudor's came out, our family is very interested in them. I love this set you created out of one of the most colorful families of history. This set must have been a lot of work judging by the quality of the items in it. Thank you very much for your exquisite work!
