Hi! When I download a lot, the icon I see next to it are 3 little books with the file name under it. I make sure the lot is in the Sims2 Download folder, not the desktop. If you see the 3 little books, right click on them and choose extract here. Wait a couple of seconds and a sims2pack icon with the file name will appear probably at the bottom of your screen. Double left click on it and the game installer should open and ask if you want to install the content. Click on install. The main thing I think is to make sure the file is in the sims2 download folder. We'll get it solved! Your friend, millyana

Hi SuperSpend! From what you describe, you are opening your sims2pack with clean installer, or it is making you do so. When I download, I just double left click on the sims2pack itself and the game installer opens and asks me if I want to install the content. The clean installer isn't involved. If I right click on the icon, I get the option of opening with clean installer. I will forward your message to my friend Guardgian and ask her. She knows a lot more than I do! Hi Super Spend.. i read your comment on my Sims 2 starter 11 lot. I am wondering if your problem is a memory issue? your clothes and hair show up but not lots etc? I have had the same thing happen in my sims game too.. and i wonder if I am getting too many downloads for my memory. Yrs back when i had a titanic of a harddrive .. i didnt have that problem. One suggestion would be ( you wont like it haha) is to copy all your clothes and hair files to back up .. then delete them all and then try just lots in game.. see if stuff shows up. Otherwise I couldnt tell you.. and I cant be there to help you in person..lol.. When downloads DONT show up it sucks as much as when you get a BAD download and it causes your game to freeze or crash.. argh and then you have to strip everything down and re-install all the files!! Had that happen too many times!Now when I download stuff - say in one day i will download 20 items.. i put an A in front of the zip file then B the next time in front of the files and so on. that way i can keep track ..and i try not to get too many downloads.. ( only a couple hundred of the best things) so i can keep track! Anyways thanks for downloading my lot! i wish it would work for you! hugs - Jackie

Hi Super_spend! What browser do you use when you download? Not that it matters I suppose. When you download, does a window open that says run or save? I'm going to assume that it does. Click save and make sure you save in my documents, EA games, Sims2, downloads. When you open the download folder, do you see 3 little books with the file name? If so, right click once on it and choose extract here. Wait a few seconds, and you will see the sims2 pack icon with the name of the lot. Double left click on it and the game installer should open and ask if you want to install. Click install. Open your game, and the lot should be in your lots and houses catalog at the end. When you download a sim make sure you do NOT put the sim package in to the download folder, you have to double click on the .zip file and in that .zip file you will have like a blue thingie and you just double click on that. If you have done that there will be a Sims2 pop-up where the list with all the included content of the sim, you just accept that and if it did work properly there will be again a sims2 pop-up which says that you downloaded the sim. If you download a sim and it is NOT a .zip file or a blue-thingie (SIMS2PACK) it could be that you don't have the right program to download compressed files. I hope this will help you so that my sims and sims of other creators will work in the future C: xoxo Emily

Hi $\:\)$ if you want to have a new Sim lot in your game, after downloading you mush double click on the file with the house and install it $\:\)$ after that, you will be able to found it in the game, in house catalog. Hope it helped $\:\)$ Hugs, Ola
