I am just a keen and eager fan of The Sims - I've played it since the Sims 2 'base game' came out, so I'm not as clued up about Sims 1 as everyone else, (as I tried it about halfway through my Sims 2 experience and it just didn't do anything for me :/ )
However, The Sims *3* is by far my favourite out of the Sims series of games, (though I would prefer an 'upgrade' in terms of the genetics side of the Sims - which was what I mostly enjoyed about the Sims 2 but, sadly, seems to be of less importance in the Sims 3).
I answer all of my friend's Sims-related questions (to which I introduced the vast majority to the game), and feel happy knowing I've introduced them to such a great pastime!
I was known as 'CheekyChocolate6' on the Sims 2 BBS (I was an 'Overmodest Orator' at the time of The Sims 3's release, which was when I stopped going on it).
Can't be bothered to say much more now, just lovin' the Sims 3 and life...:L x
