Turning the tables!

Normally the way things go around here is that a few people make THINGS like walls & floors, clothing, things found in build or buy mode with in the game......and then tons of us gobble them up & enjoy them in our games.  Well I can't make anything like that; I don't know how to recolor anything let alone mesh stuff.  I have however been one of the throngs of people/players who downloaded & enjoyed those things that the artistic & talented few among us have created.  Well I'm not saying that I'm some super duper builder......BUT!  I would like to offer to anyone but especially those who have given up so many hrs of time they could have been playing with Sims to make stuff for us; I'd like to make for you for a change.  No I'm not offering this cuz I think I'm some special builder of lots or pets.  I'm just offering the only thing I can aside from my thanks.  And so if there are any arteests out there that have been wanting their pet made for Sims or a lot of some sort.......all you ever need do is ask.

Sometimes kisses & chocolate cake doesn't make the hurt go away.

I miss the days when my daughter's hurts were easier to fix.  When she was little & fell down a kiss made it better.  When she got just a bit older & her interests went from dolls to a different kind of "doll"..........for every up there is a down & for every boy who broke her heart there was a mother & daughter chocolate cake baking session to go with.  But how do you help you baby deal with loosing her baby?  She was pregnant.  She lost it a couple days ago & today she called up crying because her milk had come in.  She was 10 wks pregnant & I guess her body didn't know there is no need for any milk.  Yes I can hold her & be there for her.........but I can't make this one go away...........I miss the days when kissing a boo boo or baking a chocolate cake and talking about what a good thing the boy was missing out on still worked.

Why I upload

Why do I upload?  Well lets see........  #1 great way of earning some kudos, #2 I love building lots anyway, #3 if my pets have made even one player heppy......I'M happy.  For now it is all 100% maxis.......& I've learned to think "outside the box" since being dethroned (I was the "Download Diva" until I started having all these computer issues). 

So pretty much I make tons of lots & pets because: it's fun, it earns me kudos, & from time to time I can spread a little bit of joy thoughout TSR......even if it's just cuz people can just move into a nice playable home & not have to bother, or cuz my pets nice & fun to play.

world wish list

If I had my wishes for the world:

The only time animals would be shot is with a camera! (unless it's a tranquilizer dart or tag or medicine like a vaccine for the benefit of that animal or the species)

People would never use violence against their fellow creatures.

That we learn to judge people by who they are vs. what they are or what they have/don't have.

That children grow up knowing only full bellies & a happy and loving home with respect for their planet, it's people animals & natural beauty

That everyone take greater care to do what they can to save our planet! (it is the only planet within several galaxies that can sustain life.  We NEED to protect the plants & animals & thier habitats & reduce our impact on this planet if we hope to have any hope for futre generations)

And if a cure for disease & pain could be found just by wishing that'd be AWESOME! ;)

MY creating style

Well I've made quite a few lots & quite a few pets now.  I love making pets & concider it to be quite an honor when someone allows me to make their real life pet into a Sim pet.  On the subject of lots.  Well there are a ton more to come as I L-O-V-E to build!  I think the only universal thing about all of my lots is that they are very playable.  Your Sims are very unlikely to get stuck in any of my lots......my own Sims always tend to be "SPAC-ially challenged" & get themselves stuck rather easily, therefore I make my lots with mulitple ways to get around & often have 1 if not 2 spaces around things such as islands in the kitchen.  Aside from that my building is as eclectic as I am.

Wow 25,000+ downloads!

Wow that is so cool!  Thank you thank you thank you!  A big huge heartfelt thanks to each and every TSRian who has downloaded my items.  I know other creators have 10's or even 100's of thousands & even more........but this is quite the acomplishment for me.  I only make lots & pets so that 25,000+ I think is a bit harder to get to, I think more people download cc for their games than they do lots or pets. ;)  Wow I think my creativity bar just got a big boost.

OK I'm REALLY hoping that this does not get ME into trouble.  (Disclaimer this is the opinion of ME HIEDIBEAR75 NOT TSR I am NOT speaking on anyone's behalf)

What is up?  Is there something in the water?  Did a meanie convention just get out?  I would say that 90% or more of the Sims comunity are considerate, helpful, & all around "nice" people/players.  But for what ever reason the last few days I've seen some pretty nasty and/or rude comments made towards others.  WHY?!?!?  Do those meanies not have the benefit of proper parenting?  MY Mother always told me "if you can't say something nice then don't say anything at all".  And do you know what?  I'm GLAD I was taught proper manners.  You don't come into a new job & start calling your coworkers names do you?  So why come in here to a place that is otherwise free of the hatefull attitude?  If what you have to say is not nice, is obviously criticizing, rude, vulgar, demeaning in any way.........are you meanies getting the picture?  SHUT UP OR make like the wind & blow.......get lost......BYE-BYE!!!  I for one find it a much more enjoyable place with-OUT you!

Sims 3.....PPPPFFFFFFFTTTTTTTTHHHHHHHHHHHH........blah blah blah

OK so I know that a slew of TS2 players are abandoning their Sims they have currently for the new 3rd generation.  I wasn't all that interested in the new version when they 1st talked about it last year......or was it the year before that?  I don't know.......EA has been promising they'd have Sims 3 released & so far they've had bug after bug & pushed the release date back more than once and not just by a few weeks either.  So here is my thing: why should I?  Seriously.  Why should I?  I've already bought Sims 1, Sims 2, and now they just want to make another set of the same thing.  Well actually in my opinion it is not quite the same.......its worse in a few ways.  Yeah I saw the vids on TS3 by EA.  Well sure being able to make your sims hair & car match the puprle zebra striped shirts is all well & good......if you're into that sort of thing.  What if I want the Pillsbury dogh boy across my kitchen walls?  with TS2 it is just a matter of finding the wall wich they can be made to fit just about any order.  When I had my cc in my game I had all sorts of stuff like my favorite bandshirts thanks to Dr.Macabre.  Yeah zebra is nice (for some maybe) but I want my Sim to have a Slipknot shirt.  OK & then there is the issue of my kids.  They play my game & each have their own seperate hoods so their Sims do not interact with eachother.......what about with TS3?  Have you ever seen the Disney movie The Incredibles?  Well TS3 Sims remind me of them or those bobble head dolls.  Hey if there is an earthquake in the game do their heads bobble around? :D LMAO  My friends like the way they look (no clue why) or it just doesn't bother them......eighther way.........differenc of opinion.  Sims 3 no likey. :P :P :P  So even if my PC could handle TS3.......I don't want to defile my computer with them. ;)  So there was one thing the EA folks said that I will agree with "Sims community is loyal & outspoken" YUP. :D  Loyal to TS2 & outspoken in my dislike of the TS3 sims. :P

PC rip off

OMG I am so fuming mad!!!  I got a really nice desktop computer for Christmas of 2005, since I am not always able to stay sitting up for hours on end I used the laptop I had as it was way more convenient & I could set it up on a TV try & lay down & Sim.  When my laptop died I had to take back my desktop or have nothing.  While my Mom had it (no I am NOT mad at my Mother) she had a guy put some things on it so she could use it (my mother is almost blind & uses a guide dog), she has some programs & such & laptop that is specifically for blind people......doesn't even have a screen, that she needed to be able to link so she could e-mail her reports in to her boss.  Well this desktop originally had 2Gigs of RAM, & it was a fairly fast computer in 2005.  Now this guy "worked" on my/Mom's computer & he "had to take it to his house" to work on it.  OK mind you Mike & I have not really done anything with that PC after telling Mom she could use it as she liked.  So the computer goes with this guy & then he brings it back.  It did what Mom needed it to do......which as far as computers are concerened was beyong easy.......sending word documents is nothing for computers.  So my Mom didn't actually need gobs of memory or a nice video-card........but this guy charged $ & what really happened; he took this nice pC to his house took out our nice parts put crummy parts back in it + charged for doing the work + he also bought/billed for UPGRADING it!  BS! (sorry sensors)  But major BULL _____!  I am including some pix of what my Sims look like when in shower & that will give you a clue.  I don't get to see fish in the tanks or ponds!  AND I CAN'T HAVE ANY CUSTOM CONTENT!  We have to go out & buy decent parts for the computer that was built with decent parts just because some guy thought it would "be OK to rip off the blind lady".  He did not know it was MY computer but that it was my Mother's.  But this guy is long gone & Mom does not even know his info anymore cuz it was like 2yrs ago he did the work.  And of course Mom never noticed anything because the only graphics she ever "uses" is pogo to play "Pop-It".  So of course my Mom never noticed anything.  No wonder the guy asked her "does anyone else use this computer?", we thought it was just so he would know wheather to make it usable for a sighted person as well or just her who hardly usess icons & graphics.  But NOW we know the REAL reason why he asked.  Had she said "Oh my daughter uses it to Sim" he probably would not have thought he could get away with it.  But what's done is done.

 OK now I can't remember how to upload an image so I'll just try putting screenshots up of my messed up Sims.

OK so as some may know but most dont my lap top died. :eek:  So I'm now moving into a desktop (this is gonna suck come winter :rolleyes: ) slowly but surely.  i've gotten all my games loaded in (though the M&J flowers on a wall the flowers dont show up properly), but am pretty much at 100% Maxis.  I'm going to be correcting that one before long.  I need for things to match again!  And oh how I miss those completer sets that so many have made. :wub:  I also miss those "little touches". :wub:  Oh custom content how I miss thee. :confused:  OK enough of the whining & on to the nitty gritty. ;)  I've hit a point where physically a lot of my creativity had got up and went anyway so I don't think I'll be making anymore stories.....but ya just never know. ;)  I do however still very much enjoy building lots & creating pets.  I had a list of people for who I was going to be making pets for.......this list along with my MTS2 info is in the notebook that got lost, so if you were someone that I had agreed to making a pet for just remind me.....if your're just someone who'd like one go ahead & ask and I'll still see about it. ;)   I'm going to concentrate on building for the most part.  For one thing I can do it semi-comatose.  If I fall asleep while playing no big deal (so long as I don't fall out of my chair).  While building there are no fires and such other forms of disaster.  I miss a lot of things from a lot of different artsts; but what I'm missing the most at the moment are my Tabbylou Mission Match (love it when things match), SimAddict's & Mutske's maxis completer sets, then again MsBarrows SPAIK, Shakeshaft, & windkeeper all have some stuff I'm very very very much missing.  Oh yes & then there are all the recolors that MoMama did, & dddrake, and yeah I have some downloading to do when I get CleanPak up & running again. :ph34r:  Yes we can all make some nice lots with maxis but we can make such nicer lots with the great cc available. :D  When I was writing stories I had a ton of stuff just for the stories.......I don't think i'll have as much problems with overloading my computer if I stick to stuff to upload here.  But wow there were a lot of nifty plants out there.  But there are still a ton of great plants that are TSRAA so my game will still have a lot of content........just not the tens of thouseands of downloads that I had from before. ;)  So I'll be around just making lots for the SPACE-ally challenged Sims (my Sims are almost getting stuck in the darndest places & it wouldn't seem they'd manage to get stuck yet they do so I make my lots a bit more spacious than some but that is so that Sims are not stuck anywhere........& though the majority of the lots are maxis my favorites are usually the ones using cc. :cool:  So a million thanks to all the awesome creators out there. :wub:
