I've seen plenty of fancy medieval gowns, with flowing trains, large bustles, and wide bell-shaped skirts. What I haven't really found is more -functional- dresses, more like peasant gowns. Things like tunics and breeches, and skirts. When I play my neighborhoods, most of my Sims wouldn't be dressed in full Court regalia, so it feels a bit silly to have them wearing a fancy outfit.
