I can't wait to see your first submission! Making a mesh from scratch is really difficult. i am doing that now, but it being difficult is a learning experience. Just have fun with it. If it gives you problems walk away for a moment and then get back to it. That's the only advice I can give. It is what I am doing. So proud of you for doing it!
