Hiatus?
Hello, everyone. I suppose i should apologize for the relatively late release of my recent collection. I call it a distraction. They call it a fugue state. I'm kidding, by the way. But i can at least say that I wasn't in top shape for building meshes the past few months, and so was my laptop. So I had to study Level 1 object creation all over again as well as recall the kitchen collection that I intended to release after my Project 1827 Solenoid.
Then there's this fuss about The Sims 4. Right now I'm wondering if I should buy into the advertising, but I do think it's cool especially now that Maxis is working on it again. So I'm saying that its possible that I would give up on The Sims 2 and make the shift to that new one, since my laptop may not be able to handle or will have a hard time handling both games. I can only be so patient until I get a better one.
Finally, I think you've all noticed how awful my good ol' machine's anti-aliasing faculty is. My easiest option would be to render the previews outside of the game with the other software that I have. Of course, the previews then would not be exactly the same as how you would find them in the game and may even begin to raise doubt on the functionality of my works since you don't get to see them as they'd be in the game. So I'm sticking to in-game previews for now, until i get so disappointed with the anti-aliasing that I'd stomp back to my lab, take some snapshots of my prototypes, and do the post-processing because my standards are normally way up. But, yeah, I'm still new to the industry/ a designer-in-the-making so you really can't expect anything too spectacular from me just yet. :)
Thank you for your patronage, as always!
Now... back to work!
I've been quite busy settling priorities (and playing floorball with friends, heh) last week, so i wasn't able to make new stuff for uploading this week. I've been studying how to work on objects with animations when I've some free time, though. Now I've more time I can get back to meshing and object creation. Here are my new meshes.
I think I can upload my new set in another two weeks.
And thanks for the nice comments I'm receiving for my sets, guys. I'm really flattered. :>
So, 'til my next upload. Cheers.
Thanks, guys!
So, there, I really wanna thank you for, well, supporting me. I never expected I' be able to get about 26,000 downloads in roughly 2 months, so, really, thanks, everyone!
And, here, I've another mesh preview for you! I'm very wary about the polygon count now, and this one has about 307 triangles (I'm actually surprised - well, I used to not worry about polygons when meshing for other projects not related to object creation for The Sims 2). I'd love to hear some comments and suggestions for this plant (though, uh, this one's just blades of tall grass, heh) but I'm pretty satisfied with this the way it is right now.
I might be able to upload my next project sometime next week. Hang in there, guys. :)
Project: Primordia
Hello! I want to thank you guys for all your support, so, yeah, I have here a preview of the new mesh that I've been working on for my next upload.
Yup, that's the shadow of the mesh itself, with custom textures. As you can see, I have a thing for very accurate meshes and do not really invest much on textures. That's part of my design philosophy. Now, this plant for my next upload is a part of a series of room sets that I'll be starting soon, after I deal with my priorities...
But, anyway, this series I will refer to as Project Primordia, since it is a series of my first room sets for The Sims 2. Just so you know, I pretty much dislike the feel of The Sims 3 so I don't intend to create for this version.
So, there, I hope you like this plant. Well, you just have to wait for it. Stay tuned!
Updated Optic Buildset
The Optic Buildset is now updated, many thanks to Angela! You can now re-download this set; it now contains all the set items plus a collection file for for both residential and community lots. Thank you for your support.
Unfortunately, my next upload's going to take a wee bit more time - I just want to make sure they look exactly the way I want them. And, yeah, I'm still new to object creation so I'm still learning about the technical stuff. So, uh, yeah, s'more time, guys. :D
