It works it works!

Firstly i had to buy a new graphics card, which although no problems before, EA support was lacking as it wasnt one listed on their own game specs.

after many false startes and uninstalls and reinstalls, they suggested the following: (pasted directly from my email from them)
We are going to use a very easy and helpful tool named REVO to make sure that we get The Sims 3 100% off your computer. This will allow us to start with a clean installation of the game, fixing many issues.

Please keep advised that you are going to use the Free Download copy of REVO. You will not need to purchase the program at any time. (revouninstaller-dot-com)

Once we download and install REVO go head and start up the program and follow the instructions below:
1. Right click on the Sims 3 Icon, select the option to Uninstall
2. Once we select the Uninstall option go ahead and select the Advanced bubble and click Next
3. It will now uninstall Sims 3 and then scan for left over Registry files
4. Make sure only to check the BOLD Registry Files and then select the option to Delete them
5. Click Next
6. It will now scan for left of files and when can press Select All and then press Delete to remove them
7. Click Next or Finish
8. Follow instructions 1 to 7 until we have all Sims 3 Expansions removed as well
9. We can now close out of the REVO program

We can now go ahead and re-install your Sims 3 game and Expansions in the order below:
1. Sims 3
2. World Adventures
3. High End Loft
4. Ambitions
5. Fast Lane Stuff
6. Late Night
7. Outdoor Living
8. Generations

If you do not have one of the Expansions you can go ahead and skip that one and install the next one on the list you own. Once we have everything installed, we can start up the game and see if this helped get the issue resolved. Once we have started up the game, we can then exit out of it and follow the instructions above to recover your save data.

Once i did that, and Put each EP and SP into the DEP settings... I also included the launcher.exe file from the latest EP (in my case Generations) in the DEP settings also as the launcher also runs in the background of the game, it has to if you can purchase stuff from the store whilst playing the game)

My User Account Control setting is still set to OFF.

My game now runs! I do hope that anyone else having such issues, will also try the REVO, and DEP settings including the launcher... you never know, it could help you too!

Where am I?

Well, as ive bleeted on in my last few blog entires I have not been playing much lately, I have not been creating, I have not been doing very much other that work sleep and eat really...

A promotion at work has been to blame, and frankly i cant be arsed to do anything once i finally get home. That coupled with a complete lack of inspiration of what to create and stuff just not turning out right when i do has lead me to take a break.

I hope that i will be back creating soon, please dont lose all hope!

Long Absence

As some of you poor folks who read this or visit my minisite may have noticed my very sporadic absence of late...

Apart from my grandma passing away, Some of you may be aware that I am not the healthiest person going, but recently i have not been well. my OA has been very bad, the medications arent really helping much, and i have been left exhausted by the time i have got home from work. I also have stomach problems which have resluted from years of prescribed medications and that has been giving me a riugh time recently too, so creating as well as simply playing Sims has been on the backburner for some time now.

I have creations almost ready to go, the male versions of my Spiral Tshirts are done, an I just have to take shots of them and make some preview pics and upload them here. I also have a half made nightclub itching to be finished off, so hopefully i will be able to do that soon too.

Family Berevement

My Grandma passed away last thursday and her funeral is tomorrow (Halloween) so i will not be here for a little while...

Roman Baths - Gothic Fence Required Item

Thankyou to all those who have downloaded my Roman Baths lot, however, I made a bit of a hash, and forgot to tell you that you also need the MedievalGothic Fence by MarinaSims2

I have also been asked about the "pool trim" i used. It is not called a pool trim, the actual file name is DecorativeRoofBorders by macarossi over at MTS2. They are used just like fences and i absolutely adore them. you must go the MTS2 to get them as they are not inculded in the download.

I know its been a while!

I havent managed to create anything in a few months now - My Arthritis has been having a right old flare up, Im very tired, and by the time i get home from work im exhausted - I guess living up in Lancashire, we took a right old battering with the weather this year, we have had no summer we have only had months of rain rain and more rain, floods gale force winds and even snow yesterday.

Anyone who has or knows anyone with the dreaded "Arthur" knows only too well how this hideous weather can really knock you for six - and if that doesnt - them me sat here, being all philisophical and giggling away to myself, in lots of pain but not actuaslly caring beause im on the super strong painkillers!!

Its not that i dont want to create, or that I have run out of ideas, I have loads, but Arthur is dictating how much energy i have at the moment, so I hope you all dont mind me feeling a bit sorry for myself. However, i hope that i will be able to begin uploading more stuff soon! Promise!!

Its my Birthday!!

Eek! But you do wonder why they say "One year older" 'cos youre not really! you build up to it all year so technically im just one DAY older.. So there!

So, I bet your all wondering what pressies I got? actually, youre probably not, but im going to inflict it upon you poor souls who have got sucked into reading my mindless drivel... It's called "Fantasy Space Axe" and it will sit proudly with the rest of my sword collection...



Nice eh??!! other than that, ive got another Axe on its way by one of the renowned sword makers csalled Kit Rae and I got a bunch of flowers from my childminder, and a dozen red roses from the family along with 2 Poang chairs ive been hankering after for my conservatory, breakfast in bed and the rest of the day to lounge about doing not much....not a bad birthday at all!

Just a little note to let you all know that I will be away for the next 2 weeks for a well deserved break! me and the family are off to Longleat. I shall try to refrain from feeding my children (okay they are 15 & 10) to the resident lions & tigers!

I have quite a few ideas bussing around my head and i have been furiously collecting all manner of images ready to embark on several recolour sets.. If the hubster doesnt complain too much and "Get OFF that darn laptop WILL YOU!!" and "Are you simming AGAIN?!" sheesh! anyone would think we were on holiday to do... other stuff!

So I bid you farewell for the next 2 weeks.. and hubby permitting, have a mad upload spree when I get back with loads of fab new sets!

In the meantime.. I found this fab picture lurking on my hard drive, and it instantly reminded me of my beloved Zakk....LOL!

Zakk - Again!

I know a lot of you have been asking how Zakk our not so little rescue dog has been getting along... When we got him, we were told that he was probably about 8-12 weeks old because of his size... since we began taking him to the vets, it turns out that he was probably about 15 weeks. Due to him not being fed he probably stopped growing along with getting thinner. but his teeth and exam showed his true age. We have had him for about 4 weeks now, hes had all his jabs (he may have had them already but we dont know)but he has gone from 10.5kg to 16kg in a few weeks;. Hes doing really well, hes more or less stopped piddling all over my pink (yes pink.. not my chioce, they came with the house)carpets.. Well, thats a good excuse as any to rip them up and get some nice wood floors instead (although i think i might be pushing the overdraft with the £52 per sq metre Solid dark oak stuff at B&Q at the mo!) Anyway... this is the not so little new picture of Zakk:
